It's just more posturing -- just like our own officials.

Yes. They've already walked back their empty threats against the Stennis entering the Gulf...

Maybe the EU should hold off on that sanction thing a bit longer than July on Iran since their mission to secure oil from Libya seems to be falling apart.

Libyan PM warning of civil war in Libya and Bani Walid has now fallen to the Gaddaffi supporters with Benhgazi shooting guns and missiles all over the place.......

Seems the plan is not working to get their hands on that lovely Libyan oil so easily now

Murdering innocent civilians is unlikely going to solve any problems. A better approach would be to practice a more balanced foreign policy which is less attractive to the extremes.

Aw, come on, I want Gingrich in the to just "kill them". Hardly seems manly to use diplomacy when we could just as easily alienate the entire world again. We could just not include the cost in the next budget and use emergency funding to cover immediate shortfalls like Bush did, then wait for a Democrat to get elected again and blame it on him (or her). Just spitballing here, but maybe we could use up that pesky 9% unemployed in KIA's if we could somehow (*)(*)(*)(*) off another major power.

Iran threatenin' to close the Strait of Hormuz - again...
    :omg:
EU imposes fresh sanctions on Iran, bans oil and mineral imports
Monday 23rd January, 2012 - The European Union Monday imposed fresh sanctions on Iran, banning the import of Iranian crude oil and petroleum products and a freeze on the assets of the country's central bank, to which Tehran immediately responded by threatening to close the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

    No need.
The Iranians just threaten empty threats.
Closing the straits will be the end of this regime and they know it.
This is a causes belli and the US even with the wimp at its head will come down on them like a 5 ton hammer. They know that when the US will use its force nothing will move at the Iranian army, they will be sitting ducks just like the Iraqi army was.
The only reason to close will be to admit defeat in advance.

Closing the straits has nothing to do with Israel.
    Talking about disonesty.
It is about Oil interests for Saudia, UAE Baharain and such.

Bollox. There would be no talk of closing the Straits, nor of sanctions against Iran, without the AIPAC wormtongues in Washington spreading the neoZionist fascist message.

correction their would be no talk of closing the strait if there was no talk about sanctions and there would be no talks about sanctions if Iran would finally give up on their ambition of having the nuclear bomb.

Iran won't close the Straits.. India is getting around the sanctions by paying them in gold... and India needs the oil.

Are you saying that Iran will suffer the sanction for India?

MOSSAD states that Iran has no bomb program. ISIS states that Iran has no bomb program. You are trying to serve yesterday's tripe.

And China will rub it's hands together:

    Either

    1. Lend you the trillions you need to wage war.

    or

    2. Refuse to lend you money and exert itself over the US, letting you know that there's a new kid in town and the new kid calls the shots.

Either way the US is going to look stupid.

This is just more of the usual posturing, nothing more.
