I have zero problem with our CIC taking out terrorist leaders. The guy has been a terrorist for over 40 years, starting with 52 American hostages from the Embassy in 1979, he should have been, whacked then. Many innocent lives would have been saved. You keep pretending he was not a terrorist leader.

It is funny reading these posts talking about proxy wars. Like we haven't been staging proxy wars all over the middle East for decades now. Do you recall the Iran Iraq war? Back when Saddam was our ally . The war in the middle East that hosted some of the biggest tank battles in world history?

Iran has an eighty million dollar bounty on trump? That money has come from the black market. Probably from Iran running logistics for Syria's black market oil sales.

I would be more worried intelligence community cashing in on that then anyone else.
By the response of Iraq's parliament they don't want us there and have wanted us gone for a long time. Iraq's parliament has been trying to expel U.s troops for years up on years now.
The fact that no one has bothered to mention we bombed a wanted guest inside of a sovereign nation's border is appalling.

This is the very definition of fake news, Iran has not announced an $80 million bounty on Trump's head. While it is true that an unnamed speaker at one of Soleimani's funeral services called on all Iranians to donate $1 to establish an $80 million bounty on Trump(81 million is the population of Iran), no formal bounty has been established or announced by the Iranian state.

 

He said he would pick someone who would favor overturning Roe v Wade, didn't do it

Another judge who opposes overturning Roe v Wade. The only specific policy he ever promised in his supreme court picks was to fill the seats with judges who would overturn Roe v Wade. In both instances he did not fulfill that promise

He said he would follow up with a better deal, didn't do it

He said he would follow up with a better for this agreement as well, and again did not follow through

Again, said he would replace Obamacare with a better healthcare policy, he said everyone would be covered and we would be paying lower premiums. Not only did he not create a better replacement, but today fewer people are covered(first decline in coverage in 10 years) and premiums are higher than the day he took office

He's followed through on the dismantling of older policies, but in no instance has he followed through on his promises to replace them with better policies. Literally not even once

 

Uhm Kavanaugh was a pick to overturn Roe vs Wade, where have you been?

Perhaps the stupidest move Trump has ever made was in office was murdering Soleimani.

Pulling out of the nuclear weapons agreement with Iran, was stupid enough.

That deal had put the west on a peaceful path with Iran, a path not welcomed by the hawkish Republicans especially Pompeo.

Trump in office pushing us closer and closer to a major conflict with Iran.

 

Granted this "bounty" has NOTHING at all do with the Iranian government but the ramifications must be taken seriously because the Secret Service does take ALL such potential threats seriously and for good reason.

No one wants another assassination or even an attempt to occur for obvious reasons.

That said the Secret Service is now going to be faced with a dilemma since golfing and rallies are major activities for the IMPOTUS and protecting him in those locations is a monumental task. Doing so during an election year is bad enough but now the stakes are even higher.

Needless to say this is yet another thing that the IMPOTUS has inflicted on himself and I sincerely hope that no agent is going to have to make the ultimate sacrifice.

 

The agreement obama made with Iran was a complete disaster. It was based on appeasing a regime that sees that sort of thing as a weakness. The only thing the Iran government understands is brute force.

This is based on decades of watching how Iran operates. Carter kow-towed to them and got nowhere. Reagan showed them he meant business and they backed down.

 

....and Osama Bin Laden was a religious scholar.....
