The Germans have gotten to lazy and fat from eating to many sausages and drinking way to much beer.

The French are getting ready to go on their annual summer vacation when France goes out of business for an entire month.

Iran is not member of the EU, thus the embargo is nit binding. Reality is, americas poodle UK was ordered to hijack a iranian ship in spanish waters.

But the EU lost control of its borders and sovereignty and has way to many Muslims living in the EU today.

No wonder why the Brits want to get out of the EU.

The UK has more muslims than any other in europe.

Also one thing, since 2015 EU culled down migration by 97%. Almost nobody gets in. Meanwhile USA is flooded by migrants. Now even africans fly Mexico and walk into USA because its easier than getting into Europe.

Why gave USA up its border protection?

Iran. Just like Red China invaded South Korea and the USSR would have invaded Europe and Japan.

Another option: Obama is either weak, stupid, or corrupt.

No, that's an opinion and a pretty lame one at that.

Where did you get lost? Obama had no choice but to abide by the SOFA. Do you not understand the law?

No, I’m trying to get you to understand how the law works. Futile apparently. Obama had no choice at all. He was bound to abide by the SOFA.

I understand completely. You argue that Obama was too weak to negotiate a US residual security force in Iraq just as we were able to do in South Korea, Germany, and Japan.

As far as I remember (maybe I'm wrong, I'm not sure about it) the whole Brexit story started because one guy, who was the then British prime-minister, wanted to win the next election. So, he said something like - Me or Brexit! Vote! And of all the sudden people voted for the latter. But now it doesn't look like very smart idea. Brexit called into question even integrity of the United Kingdom. North Ireland and Scotland want EU more than UK.

Your statement shows you have no idea how the law is applied here. He had no choice but to abide by the SOFA.

Your conclusion: Obama is too weak to negotiate an extension of the SOFA.

Still don’t understand the law I see. And would you have been ok with US personnel being tried in Iraq’s courts which was their demand to extend?

Was this not your quote saying there was an embargo?

Or are you saying you were wrong, if it wasn’t to be enforced what was the point of the embargo?

Is the EU just full of incompetence issuing stuff that can’t be enforced?

    Why was it issued then?

Iran is no more a rogue state than the USA.. and we don't exactly have a great history with them and nor do we play by the rules.

Regardless - rushing into war in Iran is a bad idea - why would you want this ?
