Is 'Generation Z' the most conservative since WW2? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...TE-tattoos-Generation-Z-conservative-WW2.html Do you think there is any truth to this? I'm watching a video in which a young man repeats this statement. Given how the left has taken over educational institutions you'd think these kids would be getting indoctrinated. Maybe young people just want to be counter cultural and today, the Left owns the culture. Your thoughts?
To early to pass judgement on the Z'ers. The first Z'ers will be going to the polls in 2020 and if they go with Trump and Making America Great Again, America will be given s second chance. But what I see isn't good and right out scary.
"As well as being more socially conservative, more than 10 per cent of teenagers were more likely to avoid tattoos" Wow, more than 10%, what a high bar we have to describe being conservative. Gen Z is just one step closer to Idiocracy. Gen Z'ers to Millennials.... "Hold my beer"
This article suggests that Trump is viewed negatively by young Republicans: "Trump Is Driving Out Precious Republican Voters" https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/16/opinion/sunday/trump-youth-vote.html
That's the funny thing. The bleating SJW has started to take on something of the vibe of the hopelessly outdated and old-fashioned, slightly crazy, stuffy old religious relative. Their bizarre ideas and their tsk-tsking are like a cross between a crazy cultist and your great aunt. So even if the kids waking up to the embarrassment that is SJWing aren't doing so out of conventional conservatism, they are doing it for the same reason kids usually eschew the tropes of their seniors. And these kids are the first full generation to have Prog parents, so you know.
TV shows young people at Trump rallies, some with MAGA or cowboy hats. Just can't see any fashionability/ sociability prospects for these followers. The recent violence and anti-CNN/ media chants conjure Nazi rallies. Actually Trump reminds me of Mussolini. Upturned noses/ egocentric posturing.
Take notice of what people are doing any given time, and track changes in behavior over time, and stop pretending there’s some kind of genetic disposition between people born in one minute before midnight in a given year in one minute after midnight the following year and some kind of arbitrary bullshit idiocy.
Actually there are generational differences brought about by aging and by culture or the reaction to culture; and thus it can be useful to give generational names. The problem comes in keeping track of them. I personally don't bother. I simply don't trust anyone under thirty . . .
Seems to me Millennials are less of a switch to a left than Gen Z was from Gen Y. Still kooky leftists, with some qualifiers.
Yeah, because they're all about fashion. They'll be so hurt you said that. Joking, obviously. Because one man's fashion is another man's embarrassing public display of personal dysfunction.
Obviously you don't understand the terminology being discussed. That is exactly what is being done with the naming of the generations. Taking notice of what people are doing at a given time and tracking changes in behavior over time. It's not astrology it's just observing human behavior.
