This small essay is a part of a short story called "The Late Semester Project." I would appreciate comments of those who agree and those who disagree with my points.

A misandrist is not someone who just advocates for women. A misandrist is definitely not someone who supports gender equality. A misandrist is someone who slanders men as a gender. She or he is someone who demeans men with things like “men are pigs", #menarescum, #killallmen, castration jokes, etc. A misandrist is someone who uses vile personal attacks against men and women just for mentioning abuse and discrimination men face. She or he supports discrimination against men and believes that men have unforgivable innate guilt. A misandrist has special hatred for any man who stands up for his dignity and sometimes for women who defend men. For instance, a misandrist may say that “while not all men are pigs, men offended by being called pigs definitely are pigs".

Hatred for misandrists should come naturally to men. First, the general factor. Anyone would hate someone who hates them unjustly. For instance, minorities would hate a racist. Second, the very specific factor which would make men’s hatred for misandrists especially strong. For most men, happiness depends on a happy relationship with a woman. From Prehistoric Times, many or most men sacrificed very much to win women’s love and appreciation. In a society which teaches women hatred and contempt for men, very few men can be happy. For most men who are married or in long-term relationship, the general culture of male bashing and man hating would be a poison in thousands visible and invisible ways. On a personal level, a man who loves his wife or girlfriend would feel enormous hatred for anyone who would teach her to hate him. For example, many men do hate their in laws.

Of course, no man is entitled to be loved by a woman. Even in a society in which male bashing and man hating is rare, no man and no woman is entitled or guaranteed finding a significant other, let alone a perfect match. Thus, misandrists are entitled to spread hatred and contempt for men. But no misandrist is entitled to absence of hatred and absence of contempt from men.

Your entire thread is based upon a misconception. There are no ethical quandaries when it comes to emotions. It is neither ethical nor unethical to hate anyone. Ethics would only come into play in how one treats another in a given situation. So displaying one's hate for another a time a protest (in a non violent manner) might be ethical but when they go onto their job site, it would be unethical, particularly in certain professions.

I am sorry for bad wording. By hate I mean expressing contempt -- not doing anything illegal.

Unethical isn't automatically illegal, or even necessarily against some rules. Depending upon the situation it may be unethical to express contempt, but it doesn't mean it will be illegal.

In my opinion, there is a lot of hatred of men in Western Society. The level of hatred was high in the early 2000s, but now it is much stronger. If you follow the news, there are articles expressing contempt for men in general appearing every day. An example of misandry from a mainstream respectable author:

We've been hating each other, since the dawn of humans.

Not likely to stop, & ethics have not one thing to do with it.

Indeed hatred between different groups was a part of every war for over 5 millennia.

That is why MRA and MGTOW needs to disengage from Feminists I'm convinced no middle ground is possible. Most feminists really just hate men so lets let them do so. I'll recommend men just go their own way as young as possible.

With my ex and what I have seen with the average middle-age and older woman, is a fundamental disrespect for men. There is also a fundamental resentment of men. While the hate exists with the more extreme elements of feminism, what I think has been far more insidious is the fundamental disrespect that is common with average women. You see it everywhere from commercials, TV shows, movies, advertising, and the internet, to family interactions. I have watched it play out in my own family for decades. Many women think they can be as nasty and disrespectful as they want. They pride themselves on being smartmouths and consider it some kind of divine right to be nasty. They will say aloud in public what men would only say in private. And ridiculing men is ALWAYS fair game.

I too was a victim of this brainwashing. Most of us have been. After all, most of us were mainly raised by our mothers. But one day I saw the light and the world changed in a moment.

Young women seem to be mostly rejecting this [their mother's feminism] but are extremely frustrated with the way young men treat women. And they do have valid complaints. Porn has really screwed up a lot of young men.And with the hookup culture, it's a meat market out there.

So now I find myself in my fifties. And for the last five years, I've been almost exclusively seeing gorgeous women in their 20s. So in the end it all worked out just fine! Three cheers for feminism! :D

PS. Keep up all the great work with porn and video games, young men! You all go off and be masters of the universe and I'll keep seeing the women who would be your girlfriends.

I guess you could say, you have your joysticks, and I have mine. But I share, :D

NO we only dislike people who don’t t want women to be equal. A feminist is one who believes in equal rights for women..to you it’s one who doesn’t “stay in her place”. Most men I know are feminists

I advocate for equality between men and women since 1996. I never mentioned hating feminists, I mentioned misandrists:

Sadly Mainstream Media accepts hate and generalizations about men which would never be acceptable about women or any other birth group.

    1) On some level being hated would negatively affect anyone. Even if the hater does not physically attack the hatee.

    2) In USA 2017, there is a lot of discrimination against men, and millions of men understand it:

That figures...most republicans are white men who don’t like to give women and minorities what they have enjoyed for 250 years...poor white men, having to share the pie. They FEEL discriminated against...doesn’t mean they are

This can be said of a lot of minorities today too. Not to say that there are not examples of discrimination against them, but there are also lots of times that they want to claim discrimination where none exist. As a prime example, at my workplace, a resale charity store, minority members have asked if we can go lower on a price, which we are not allowed to do once the item has hit the floor. It is amazing the number of times, when we tell them we can't they will throw out that we won't just because they are (insert minority card here). I have seen it other places as well.

To hate someone or express contempt for them requires you to care one way or another about them or what they think.

It also requires time & energy which I'm not willing to devote to "man-haters" or any other type of hate filled individuals.

Hate usually does more damage to the hater than the hated so I don't care enough for hate filled individuals to give a damn.

I've got other more positive stuff to do & care about to fret over haters.
