Is it reasonably possible (40%+) that Obama is Muslim?

A lot of conservatives on this forum seem to really think that Obama is a Muslim. Be mindful that the question isn't whether Obama is sympathetic to Muslims. I know that the conservative vote would be 100% - even if I said "Muslim terrorists." My question is whether you think there is a reasonable possibility that Obama is a Muslim.

 

The Right engage in meta-Orwellian "triplethink".

They have...in no particular order, accused the President of being

A. "a radical Christian" (Rev. Wright)

B. "an atheist" or "hater of religion" (the contraception mandate in the PPACA)

C. "a secret Muslim".


And some believe ALL THREE are "true". "1984"'s "Ministry of Truth" looks like a piker compared to the stuff that goes on on Rightwing Radio and Fox.

Rev Wright is not a christian, he does not teach Christianity. Rev Wright believes in Black Liberation Theology, and thats what he preaches.

 

His church is a christian church and get what, you don't get to define Christianity.

Rev Wright does not preach christianity. He preaches black liberation theology. Its just a fact.

He could be but I don't really care if he is or isn't as long as he keeps his beliefs separate from his politics.

 

It is possible that Obama is a Muslim. It's also possible that he's a reptilian shapeshifter from Mars.

I don't believe it's remotely possible that President Obama is Muslim. That would involve accepting the existence of a being greater than himself and I don't believe he could do that...unless it was Michelle. President Obama will ally with anyone who shares his view of America.

I don't really care what his religious beliefs are. If I had to guess, I would say few or none. The facts of life are that proclaiming Christianity is a prerequisite to being elected president of the US. He is an arrogant, pompous, self-righteous anti-colonialist with a world view contrary to most Americans. He is an enemy of Western Civilization.

 

Obama is an atheist.

And even if he isn't an atheist, he is a weak Christian. I would love it if he came out of the atheist closet though and made the heads of right wingers everywhere explode. Only thing right wingers hate more than gays and Muslims are non-believers.

But it's good that he seems to keep his religion seperated from his politics.

 

It's completely IMPOSSIBLE to be 40% of any religion and 60% another. If you use both religions you are kind of agnostic. But no one is any % any religion.
