There's more women in this world (past and the future ones counted together) and there'll be more women in the hereafter.
I think I was asked this before by you perhaps? But the point is lost on me. What does it matter who "formatted" the Koran?
will if one reads the OT, seems God was not better in the earlier version, he went by the name "Jealous" and was a vengeful God, the newer story tried to change God for the better - course the end times sounds pretty bad too http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation 19:11-16&version=KJV 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
and of course the oldest known religion would be the Sumerian religion - so if older is better, best go to the original source
Do you believe this Scripture? FYI, the term "jealous God" simply means to love and have no other God. The One Living True God, the Creator, desires to be the only God we love and worship.
I do not believe in the myth, but many do so like a jealous boyfriend, you love and worship him or be punished severely https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus+34:14&version=KJV " Exodus 34:14 King James Version (KJV) 14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: " https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy+6:15&version=KJV " Deuteronomy 6:15 King James Version (KJV) 15 (For the Lord thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth. "
think the second quote says it all, love and worship me or else I will punish you, for I am a jealous God God is so Jealous, he says his name is Jealous
both have their flaws, but yes, the Koran is still more OT like then the NT, course the Christian bible includes the OT - ironically all 3 middle eastern religions believe in the same God
I think your Creator loves his creation and if you love others more than Him, you cannot live with Him.
My creator created the people that invented your God but he is ok if you don't believe in him, as he is not a jealous God, those are petty human emotions - he loves you no matter what, doesn't need you to worship or even love him
we will all be fine, there is no jealous vengeful God waiting to punish us when we die if we do not believe in them, that was a story to scare people into believing certain religions most of us will be reborn to live again, some of us will awake to the reality beyond and step out of the cycle of life, death and rebirth
do you really think your God will punish me for not believing in him - lol could you live with a God that punished your friends and loved ones for eternity that did not believe - even if heaven was real, I could not live in such a place with such a jealous and vengeful God, I would take a pass
I'm getting the impression that you are having problems believing in your favorite religious fairy tale. As it says = 23 hadith found in 'Eclipses' of Sahih Bukhari. 161 Narrated 'Abdullah bin Abbas: The sun eclipsed in the life-time of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) . Allah's Apostle offered the eclipse prayer and stood for a long period equal to the period in which one could recite Surat-al-Baqara. Then he bowed for a long time and then stood up for a long period which was shorter than that of the first standing, then bowed again for a long time but for a shorter period than the first; then he prostrated twice and then stood up for a long period which was shorter than that of the first standing; then he bowed for a long time which was shorter than the previous one, and then he raised his head and stood up for a long period which was shorter than the first standing, then he bowed for a long time which was shorter than the first bowing, and then prostrated (twice) and finished the prayer. By then, the sun (eclipse) had cleared. The Prophet then said, "The sun and the moon are two of the signs of Allah. They eclipse neither because of the death of somebody nor because of his life (i.e. birth). So when you see them, remember Allah." The people say, "O Allah's Apostle! We saw you taking something from your place and then we saw you retreating." The Prophet replied, "I saw Paradise and stretched my hands towards a bunch (of its fruits) and had I taken it, you would have eaten from it as long as the world remains. I also saw the Hell-fire and I had never seen such a horrible sight. I saw that most of the inhabitants were women." The people asked, "O Allah's Apostle! Why is it so?" The Prophet replied, "Because of their ungratefulness." It was asked whether they are ungrateful to Allah. The Prophet said, "They are ungrateful to their companions of life (husbands) and ungrateful to good deeds. If you are benevolent to one of them throughout the life and if she sees anything (undesirable) in you, she will say, 'I have never had any good from you.' " https://www.searchtruth.com/book_display.php?book=18&translator=1&start=0&number=161#161
Nope, I don't think God will punish you. I believe what the Bible says. You will live for eternity in darkess.
It matters because the person (or group) who did it could have made it all up and no one would know the difference. Have you ever seen a real 8th Century Koran?
it's interesting how similar Muslims and Christians believe, they both believe in Mary and Jesus even and the virgin birth https://www.islam-guide.com/ch3-10.htm " (Remember) when the angels said, “O Mary, God gives you good news of a word from Him (God), whose name is the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, revered in this world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (to God). He will speak to the people from his cradle and as a man, and he is of the righteous.” She said, “My Lord, how can I have a child when no mortal has touched me?” He said, “So (it will be). God creates what He wills. If He decrees a thing, He says to it only, ‘Be!’ and it is.” (Quran, 3:45-47)" of course Muslims do not believe Jesus was killed, they believe God replaced him with a likeness of him and that person was killed ...They said, “We killed the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of God.” They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but the likeness of him was put on another man (and they killed that man)... (Quran, 4:157)
well of course they are both myths that just tell the same story with a different twist, Mormonism was a 3rd telling
well that is good you do not think your God will punish people that do not believe or believe in other Gods.... I think the worst believers are the ones that believe their God will punish society if others in the society do not believe as they do, as then some feel justified in punishing the nonbelievers to protect society from their Gods
