Not talking about legislation as much as going after the political establishment.

    Duterte is Catholic ...

I can't imagine any US president sucking up to a man who advocates mass murder and rape.

That's what Trump told the Coast Guard Cadets at their commencement... claiming he was persecuted is an idiotic subject for a commencement address and makes me think Trump is senile.

However, Trump has claimed for 40 years that the system was rigged against him just as he claimed the election was rigged against him.

The press bullies everyone, that's why politicians learn how to manage the press... you stick to the party line or get massacred... suppose it's not his fault he doesn't know this... just add it to his "things Trump are ignorant about" list.

No worries. The important thing is that the arguments are reasonable.

And he did! Saying "Some, I guess, are good people" does not mitigate the insult.

BTW, the link you sent points to an interview with a former Miss USA. So I didn't get to find out who the "her" you were referring to is.

Yet you seem to feel "sympathy" for Trump, as if no other President before him was attacked. And the attacks others have endured were not only about real events... but about fake ones. All attacks on Trump have originated on Trump. For example, you don't seem to mind false attacks against Obama. Which he did nothing to provoke other than being black and/or having had a Muslim parent. Some of them by Trump himself. So it doesn't actually matter who you voted for. The OP shows a clear bias.

If you mean that what he was saying was that they colluded with the Trump campaign, it appears that he was right. Trump is now doing his part in the collusion by blocking the investigation.

Again: all this originates with Trump. Asking the Russians to hack Hillary's email might have just been a sarcastic remark. But words have consequences.

So, going back to your original post, you can't feel "sympathy" for somebody who just shoots off their mouth and is then not willing to confront the consequences. Same goes for coverups in the midst of an investigation of Russian intervention in our elections. And about some of your closest advisers committing a felony. All reporting originated on something Trump did or said. All of this Trump has "heaped" on himself.

I remember when libertarians had no "sympathy" for people who wouldn't accept the consequences of their own words and actions, and instead block investigations and blame anybody but themselves. Especially when they are the POTUS.

I hate Hitler comparisons. I don't care who makes them. All of them are hyperbole. But these are passing comments with no consequence. Attacking him using fabricated "scandals" is. And Trump has not experienced this. Not anywhere near the fake attacks Obama was subject to.

I have no predisposition to defend Chris Matthews. Even though I think he is a good pundit, and interesting to follow, he does engage in Hitler comparisons too often for my taste. Only one of several faults. But he is still interesting because he likes to engage in a fair way with people whose positions are diametrically opposite to his. As do most non right-wing pundits. Not so typical on the right.

Well... sure... But that's not the reason why most Hitler comparisons are hideous.

I am only guaranteed to get the last word when my counterpart has run out of arguments. I am hoping that, at this point, you are not one of them. There are still several points that (I'm sure) you can respond to.

Everything he is being attacked for in the press is his own doing, his own words, his own acts. So I guess now he can claim that he is rigged against himself.

And the hits just keep coming. Chris Matthews just reported that Trump's lawyer is now refusing to cooperate with congressional investigators. He didn't take the 5th, he just told them to stick it in their ear. What's he supposed to do? "Oh, absolutely, I'll come dish a lot of dirt on my client for you."

How does Matthews report it? "We'll see what that's all about. They're ALL under investigation!"

Don't put me in the "you all" category. I was pretty fair with Obama and never openly put him down. I made maybe a few comments to my family and that was it. I never even voted against him the second time. So you have it all wrong. Republicans were a lot nicer to Obama then you all are to Trump. Don't lie and say it's not true. We were not out in the streets pulling people out of their cars and kicking people in the face for voting for Trump. That is the radical left. Show me videos of violence against Obama supporters? I can show you several against Trump supporters.

What about all of the people on facebook asking for the murder of Trump? Snoop Dogg wanting to pimp out Melania? What about Kathie Lee Gifford holding a fake severed head of Trump for a photoshoot? If you all seriously think we believe your BS then think again.

I watched Fox News during Obama's lame 8 years and I never thought they were all that mean to him. What you call negative from Fox News is nothing compared to how the left has treated Trump. We are not the ones blocking streets and violently protesting. A man died because of one such protest. You all are trying to sell us a load of crap and lies.

You all need to open your eyes and wake up. This is so stupid. You can't compare all of the crap the left is pulling to Fox News and politicians that disagreed with Obama. Obama had it easy. We were nice to him. The left has lost any chance of us being nice the next time around. It won't happen.

Let's not forget Obama supported Black Lives Matter. It's your side that has it all wrong and supports violence and hatred. It needs to stop. This is a load of crap.

It is obvious and demonstrable that it's not true. Obama had to endure fake scandals, which he did nothing to initiate. All serious criticism that Trump has faced has been his own doing.

If you mean that Trump has faced more scandals in 4 months than Obama did in 8 years... well yeah... probably. But as far as "nicer"... I would say it's much worse to have to confront fake scandals then real ones.
