Is this what we can expect from Trump's deal making?

It sounds like you had a full career. I sold cars, managed dealerships, became a dealer principle, ventured into the merchant service business for a while...got sick of arguing with people over .05 cents on a transaction, then sold residential and commercial solar for 5 years...got tired of driving 40,000 miles per year. I now own my own business where I do painting, carpentry, decks, fences, remodels...hell, I'll change a lightbulb if needed! One thing is an absolute fact, not a single customer in 30+ years ever asked to pay me based on my need. Lefties have to get off of the "living wage" mantra. Every single persons "living wage" need is different. You are paid according to your value to the payee. That's it. End of story.

So, you are impressed with Trump. That's great, but how impressed are you with one of his latest tweets?

Have you heard the latest? Linda Bean paid an advertising fee -- actually, it was a donation to a PAC that supported Trump -- and Donald decided to open a new business, the White House Advertising Agency. His first customer is L.L. Bean. If you don't believe it, just read Trump's own tweet.

Thank you to Linda Bean of L.L.Bean for your great support and courage. People will support you even more now. Buy L.L.Bean.

L.L. Bean is just the start. I wonder how many other clients Trump will attract. Becoming a client is easy. All a company has to do is contribute to his campaign coffers.

The Office of Government Ethics prohibits executive officials from using their position to endorse organizations, products or people. The prohibition includes the President.

Trump is keeping his business empire as President. In his most recent financial disclosures, Trump listed 144 individual companies that have had dealings in at least 25 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, South America and North America. How impartial will he be when dealing with these countries? Will this be quid pro quo on steroids? Can he be impeached for an obvious conflict of interest?

Are you still impressed with this man as President?

It was not being in sales, but starting early in 1958 until the fall of 1967, I worked my way up the ladder to manager for a heavy construction firm.

    I fully agree with you.

Perhaps you and Robert can start your own thread. You can call it "The mutual admiration society."

This thread is about our President-elect, not your reading habits. Yeah, I know. Neither one of you want to talk about him. It shows throughout this entire thread.

Surely you and your friends all believe the Buzzfeed and CNN disinformation propaganda, "Fake News" is true.

Thanks for your permission to get into something that is really important.

Maybe we will start a new thread titled

Rejection of the Democrats hateful claims against Trump
See you there should we do that.

They seem to have decided to kill this forum or turn it into pitched battle, all due to their hate of Trump.

Try to discuss Obama with such types and they go into full defense of Obama.

As if Obama amounts to a lesser GOD.

It is disgusting to see them fawn all over Obama yet reject Trump based on their personal hate of him.

    I have a rule.
Those in office hated by Democrats are awesome.

I would need to check out your story and need a lot more than you told us to see if it makes Trump a horrible person or not.

You seem to forget that Obama spent 8 years running all over America collecting enormous sums of money and if you think his donors expected nothing in return, would you like to buy the Sequoia Giant that fell days back and i will make you a hot deal on that wood?

    Good grief ...

That is your best shot? An article from Jennifer Booten?

And you were persuaded by her that Trump did something wrong?

Why blame Trump over a meeting with a super rich Chinese?

Are you trying to tell us Obama had no dealings with the Chinese?

It looks as if you blame Trump over a meeting with Ma?

Yes. What about the many leftie mayors across America that demonize certain businesses when their owners contribute to groups that they don't agree with? What a tiny memory lefties have.

President Trump is going to do great things for America. You should read his books, as I have read obamas.

The term, "claims," implies something may or may not be true. In the case of Trump, everything I write about Trump is true because the articles are base entirely on what Trump says or does. Want further proof. The substance of my articles are rarely challenged. As in your case, Robert, Trump followers like you and Genius here invariably change the subject to Clinton, Obama, the election ... or one's reading habits.

Not this writer. I never defend Obama. I don't particularly like him. Sometimes, however, I have been forced by historical fallacies to correct the history of the Obama administration.

I should add I am a former history teacher. I love history, and I hate revisionist history, meaning when Republicans change history for political advantage. They are taking advantage of a unique American weakness. They can't remember what happened last week, let alone a few years ago. I am here to correct them.

I am not talking about the BuzzFeed/CNN story. I am talking about Trump's fake business deal with Alibaba (see OP) and his promotion of a private brand, L.L.Bean (see post # 27). Is this what we can expect from President Trump? There is nothing fake newsy about it.

Again, you refuse to talk about the substance of the post. You need to check it out? Do you honestly think I made it up? Have you known me to ever do that?

Then you changed the subject to Obama fundraising and completely missed the point. True, Trump is not the first politician to engage in fundraising, but is not what the post was about. It was about Trump's promotion of a singular brand name because the owner contributed to a PAC that supported him.

Now do you get it? Do you want your President going about promoting brand names he likes? Don't evade that question, Robert.

Why are you making this about the writer? I don't know Booten. Market Watch, the source for the story, is a respected source for business news. MarketWatch operates a financial information website that provides business news, analysis, and stock market data. It is a subsidiary of Dow Jones & Company, a property of News Corp, Wikipedia.

I am blaming Trump for a cheap political trick, telling Americans that Ma would create one million jobs for Americans. That was false and the story dropped off the radar the next day. Trump-friendly Fox dropped it like a hot potato and you don't hear any of Trump's transition team or Trump himself talking about it. He goofed, and he knows it.

Robert, I congratulate you on attacking the article straight on. I wish more Trump fans would defend their hero like that.

What the hell does that have to do with my post? Your silence about that issue implies you know Trump goofed big time.

And I am not a leftie. I am a conservative. I want a President who will not be a lackey for private businesses that he likes. That's what he did for Bean.

I'm sorry, but I don't regarding misleading Americans as horse crap. I'm surprised you think it is perfectly okay for our President-elect to do that.

Donald Trump is the next president. He is a deal maker. Pragmatism will always defeat ideology.
