What excuse do you use when someone says Muhammed was a thieving murderer. Do you just agree with them. and say, I like murderers who steal. OR do you say, no he wasn't, and offer them proof.
A psychopath isn't the proper word to use in this position. Did you ever read any of Robert Spencer books? Go read them then come back, and maybe I will accept to talk with you about why I disagree with him.
The Dark Side of Christian History The author is Helen Ellerbe Chapter 8: The Witch Hunts: The End of Magic and Miracles Although I am sure that most of the members are practicing ignorance from participating in the threads. But this reply for the member who asked me about evidence regarding the witch hunt in Christianity and the rule played by the inquisition courts that he claims it killed only 800 people. I am sure he will not read it because if he does read anyway, he will write better comments.
Actually I did read some of his books, I just got another I haven't started. The history of Jihad. I like the way Spencer writes, he isn't condescending, and writes in a way to communicate with Muslims.
These don't really interest me. Christianity isn't as weird as Islam. Oh it is weird, but not as much. When Christians start blowing up sh-t at the rate Muslims do, and doing it for the religion, I'll probably read something.
Nobody is going to read a book because you say something is in there. Quote something out of the book. There are lots of BS stories about the inquisition's around. The most reliable is the smaller number. People were killed in effigy far more than actual killed. But someone knowledgeable in Christianity, can probably help you with that. Start a thread on it, and it will attract Christians.
More nonsensical gibberish - accusing me holding a position opposite of the position I have expressed. You are the one furthering the goals of Islam because you have no valid argument for your position - and you refuse to listen arguments against Islam that are valid.
Why are you just making stuff up. I always listen to arguments about Islam. If you have something valid, please speak up.
I gave you the argument numerous times. The Islamist hates individual liberty - by definition. For the detailed explanation go read previous posts.
Why are you just making stuff up. I always listen to arguments about Islam. If you have something valid, please speak up.
LOLOL My arguments against Islam are more valid than anyone here. I provide book and verse for anything I quote. I am looking for a discussion on Islam,
Quoting a verse from a book is not an argument for anything The topic we have been discussing - at length - is the difference between a Muslim who is an Islamist and one who is not. You keep trying to generalize book and verse to all Muslims = logical fallacy on steroids.
We haven't been discussing that. Maybe you were with someone else, but not me. I always claimed Islamist is a made up word, like Islamophobia, with no meaning. And I am not generalizing a verse. I am generalizing a person, who Is pure evil
You probably want me to say an Islamist is one who follows the teachings of Muhammed, and that may be right.
I don't deny that it was Catholic doctrine. And I said nothing of the teachings of Jesus. Christian doctrine consists of the bible, some of which is the teachings of Jesus.
So if torturing heretics is a part of "CHRISTIAN doctrine" why don't we see any torturing of heretics? And If no one is following that doctrine any longer, how could you possibly label it as Christian doctrine.
You did not. You either refused to answer, changed the subject, or ran away. You have not put up a valid argument.
That's because the Aposles Creed is based upon the bible and therefore can be considered a part of Christian doctrine.
Actually based on the bible hardly makes it Christian doctrine. I could write lots of stuff "Based on the bible". The Apostles Creed is Catholic doctrine.
I agree, lots of stuff the Catholics invented went on to other branches. The Catholics gave Jesus his divinity, and almost all Christians accept it.
