Again you ignore the peaceful teachings and example of Christianity, and the violence and coercion that is part and parcel of Islam. They will not change their religion because you want them to, Islam is clearly going in a more extreme direction. There was no violence in Christianity in the first centuries, what you refer to as violence came from governments that claimed to be Christian. Yes, big government is a danger. There has been no Christian violence in the entire history of the US, there has been freedom and human rights that the Muslim world has never known. And don't tell me about Jim Crow, Islam to this day treats kaffirs terribly, and has slaves. Slavery wasn't unique to the US, what was unique in the Judeo Christian West was the effort to end the slave trade and slavery itself, which as I said still exists in Islam.

Islam has no tradition of the Golden Rule, turning the other check and forgiving your enemies, it is all about blood (tribe) and honor.

As I've said before on this forum, the liberal elements that exist in certain Muslim societies are not necessarily outgrowths of any accepted strains of Islam, but in fact represent a relaxation of Islamic principles. Cultural differences, in other words, depend on just how Islamic the societies in question are.
