What is supposed to be the opening day of the Republican Party convention has turn into a convention of what it is a Trump Party gathering. Absent are prominent GOP members that include no John the governor of Ohio, no Mitt, no Bush, no McCain, no Sarah, the stadium is half empty and to boost it all the introduction of the Trump Party with the GOP delegates call for roll call was autocratically quashed, denied and ignored because this is a gathering a convention of Trump Party not the Republican Party. To tap it up, Melania's personal speech was actually a personal speech of First lady Michelle Obama.

The GOP have every reason more than ever now to try their very best to regain control of their Republican Party as a last resort they can unilaterally declare their support either to the Constitution party, Green party or the Libertarian Party or have a separate Republican Party convention outside of the the on going Trump Party convention.:flagus::flagus::flagus:

You make that sound like a bad thing. Sarah would have been there but she's probably busy with something else.

Ironic how your username will probably become the main description of the Republican side's voting in November

It is a bad thing and sad thing for the Republican Party and unless they real do something about it and it would seem's the only way to do it is to un-conjoined themselves from Trump because it is clear Trump and his people are turning the RP into Trump Party and unless republicans start doing something the Republican Party will become RIP as in Rest in Peace :(

Not even the latest scandal of Melania's plagiarizing Michele's speech will force Trump to apologized or acknowledge or say thank you to Obama, instead he will claim freedom of speech that those exact words copied by Melania from Michelle's speech is not private property or registered trademark or copyright and therefore anyone can use those same words and phrases.

Nonsense. If the GOP refuses to do what the people want them to do then they WILL cease to exist. Their inaction is the very reason we have Trump in the first place.

Not only did Melania plagiarized Michelle's speech the Trump surrogates and Trump himself refused to say thank you and as expected blame the media.
And now, not only the speech is plagiarized not only prominent GOP members refused to attend and support Trump, Trump illegally and without authorization use Queen song "we are the champion" without Queen consent!

Queen Says Trump Didn't Have Permission to Use Song at RNC
Queen would like to "break free" from any association with Donald Trump.

When Trump made his dramatic entrance Monday night on the GOP convention stage, the Queen track "We Are the Champions" blared from the arena's speakers.

The GOP are doing what the people wanted and that is to break away from Trump's party. Trump who has repeatedly said and brag that he does not need the GOP is stubbornly leeching on to the Republican Party to destroy the party.

all this moaning over the "destruction" of the republican party. it's called change, folks, and things always change. the republicans have been casting about for a direction for the last few years and maybe now they'll get a clue and latch onto one. they've been allowing the opposition to define them, they've been playing catch-up and following their enemies down a dead end path. conservative voters, the second most powerful bloc in the nation, have been voting republican only because the alternative was simply unthinkable. the tea party tried to reinvigorate the party, but their cause was subverted. now trump and his followers are trying to do the same, hopefully with more success. despite the constant onslaught of negativity from the press and the petty sniping from the democrats, trump's message has been welcomed by many that saw the republican party as merely the least offensive alternative. they want america the way it was supposed to be. a meritocracy, an exclusive club that may be difficult to get into, but is definitely worth the effort.

the democrats have already redefined their purpose for this age. they have become the party of the handout, tearing down the old, whether or not it was successful, to build a new culture of mediocrity. theirs is the party of the new feudalism, with the political elite lording it over a massive peasant class in comfortable poverty. to this end they welcome all comers, as long as they are willing to bow and scrape for the crumbs their political master scatter among them. they have defined classes and revel in the mayhem as they pit one group against the other, because a splintered, disrupted society does not have the power to fight back against its oppressors. the republicans may now be finally redefining themselves for this new age. the message is clear, we want to earn the right to consider ourselves special again. handouts are for the needy and we don't want to feel needy any more. we want to feel part of an exclusive club that limits its members to those most useful to the whole, not just anyone who can sneak into the clubhouse in the middle of the night. we don't want to be a nation of peasants, but we will admit those peasants who really want to become something more than groveling peons. we want to feel strong and as secure as the chaotic mass of a free society can be. we don't want our equality to be forced on us at gunpoint, but to earn it.

hey, we may never get what we want. we probably won't, but we can at least try. trying and failing is far better than the alternative given us by the democrats, to meekly submit to the whims of our duly appointed masters. we may be destined to become just another nation of drones laboring beneath the stalinist fist of political elitists, but the least we can do is go down fighting.

That is true it is about changing the Republican Party into a Rest In Peace Party or Trump's Party. Changing the RP into a party of hatred and divisiveness.

They aren't changing to it, that is what they've been. It is why trump got the lead role. He pandered to the haters.
Even though he is the most liberal person they've ever nominated. He fooled a great many. Desperation can do that.

Korea is concern because Trump wants South and North Korea to engage in a nuclear war, Trump wants Japan to rearm itself this time with Nukes.
Canada, well.....we like the Keystone pipeline get approved and it seem's under Trump presidency that will happen at the same time Canadians can not stand Trump.

The Republican party is experiencing updating and realignment after having failed for over 16 years to provide the American people with good government.

did you ever notice that conservatives call trump and his followers liberal while liberals call trump and his followers conservatives? That should be the first sign that there is a realignment going on or at the very least a new more centrist wing of the repub party being born :)

The GOP have chose instead an unaligned path a path of hatred, a path of Christian radicalism, a path of division, a path of extreme lies and worst a path to burn down America over their arrogance and vanity led by Trump and his family, destroying everything that was Lincoln, Eisenhower or Reagan, they chose hell to America over prosperity to America :(

The new GOP-Trump Party is not interested in good government but is interested in consolidating corporate greed.

Finally the Trump convention has ended, final assessment Trump should have invited Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders as main speakers.
