Every Trump? Really? And the next thing you're going to say is they all carried a rope with them just in case they saw Obama on the street.
It's tragic how so much is lost between groups of people because people aren't willing to understand the other side.
We certainly do. And it's racism against whites. Innumerable government programs are designed to favor blacks and hispanics over whites. It's not even debatable.
We have systemic racism in government, at least that's the claim. How long have Biden, Pelosi and Schummer been in government?
Actually it is funny. I was mocking the post. I understand the other side very well and I don't like what I understand.
The Portland protests haven’t been about race as much as about police brutality, and police biases. Look at the lawsuits against the Portland police. They mostly deal with the abuse of the mentally ill, of which there are large numbers in the Northwest. One can say that the daily protests led to naught, but that is only if one ignores the fact that the protests have helped lead to structural reforms at the Portland Police Bureau. 80% of Portland voters voted for a civilian oversight board with the authority to discipline offending officers. The idea of patrol officers being teamed with social workers is growing in popularity. Right wing media likes to pretend that the violence begins with the protestors, but, as local television reporters have been reporting, the violence tends to begin with the police lobbing gas canisters and other projectiles at the crowds. Day after day. The attacks do not deter hard core protestors as they tend to wear gas masks and body armor. The protestors were protesting police brutality, and the police delivered as predicted.
You must know by now that many are proud and unrepentant. The reduction in racism in America has come through our public education system. The time to turn the tide is before it becomes crystallized in one’s brain.
Um... you know we have your posts positing Nordic (Swedish if I recall) superiority. I don't have the energy to go look up them up but you know that you made them.
This is one of the threads (no offence meant to the OP) that will never inspire either side to acknowledge the other. If someone believes that systemic racism is a myth, there is no amount of evidence that can persuade them otherwise.
For about 2-weeks from late May into early June, BLM rioted in at least 20 major cities across these United States causing between one and two billion dollars in damages. And here we are with the media and the politicians refusing to speak of this as domestic terrorism, as we all know it was!
That is not systemic racism. And that's just a lie. There's an investigation into whether a handful of "off duty" police and military personnel were involved in helping the rioters and confusing the Capitol Police. That number is much fewer than the number of officers who were injured trying to protect the Capitol. Certainly not "the most part". This allegation also ignores a number of other facts: There was no reason for the police to use force on the protesters prior to them becoming violent or breaking the law, unless you support police brutality. The capitol police did not get the support they needed and were out numbered. By all means, blame Trump for weakening security and inciting the riot. I do. This sudden interjection trying to spin the police reaction to the event as having anything to with racism (systemic or otherwise) is really disgusting. It almost seems like it's designed as a distraction from what Trump and his hardcore supporters did.
From my view, partisan hypocrites on both sides appear to be pointing out the hypocrisy of the other side to deflect from their own on the same issue!
I was not in DC on January 6, 2021 and do not condone anything that happened at the Capitol Building on that day! I also do not condone the violent riots that destroyed so much property and hurt and terrorized so many people in 2020! Neither are justified by anything that has happened in this country.
Antifa and BLM are almost entirely white rich kids rebelling against their daddies, so yeah not exactly the fault of blacks.
Yes racism is the problem... here is a little tidbit that you were probably not aware of: Is it a coincidence that right after Occupy Wall Street, mentions of racism began skyrocketing in the New York Times? Is it coincidence that every major corporation and every MSM outlet openly endorsed BLM and tacitly tolerated AntiFa? The very last time the masses actually went after the owner class was Occupy Wall Street, now the masses are going after each other. Who benefits from the masses going after each other? Who benefits from racism witch hunts?
