None the less.. the threats towards Iran have been constant since 2002. You have the documentation in front of you.

Of course Iran is looking to arm themselves. Remember that you claimed that I was lying about the threat.

Israel has created this empasse as a way of manipulating the US and as an excuse to continue to expand Jewish only settlements in the occupied territories.

Once again Israel puts us all at risk.

Conjectures... especially coming from your sources... reporters nowadays do not report situations they invent situations to make a good impression on their respective bosses, also hoping what they wrote would materialize.

Good, fear is healthy, it's part of the survival instinct. Fear has not stopped Israel from building a prosperous democracy in the sea of barbarism and poverty surrounding it, fear will keep Israel on its toes and help it survive, prosper and thrive for centuries to come.

As I told you before slogans are better than insults, still they don't replace facts.

Speaking of facts: Israel accepted the Partition, the Arabs did not and attacked Israel, then they tried to wipe Israel off the map again in 1967, then in 1973....

I respect my bathmat more than your chat, borat.

You offer nothing but bigotted nonsense against middle east nations while lost in paranoia to israel.

If the 'arabs' as you put them, read your crap. I can understand why they would want to redraw the maps.

Bingo! I have to admit it took you a very long time to grasp such a simple concept but I knew you were not hopeless. They want to redraw the map indeed, with no Israel in any borders on it. They always have.

I see. So none of the missile attacks ever happened? Iraq did not have T-72 tanks and artillery or anything else?

Sorry, excuse me while I laugh.

Then you give me a link that has nothing to do with missiles at all, but about oil for food.

Guess what oh wise one. That was not a US program, it was a UN program, headed by Kofi Annan. And the US had nothing to do with that program (other then suggesting there be one). The major involvement was by France, Russia and China. And the amount of fraud and graft was huge. And Cyprus was a major player. The director of the program got millions of dolars in bribes for the sloppy oversight.

And the German government charged 57 companies for bribing UN officials.

You can give me whatever you want, but these are facts. Your article is an interesting bit of fluff, but it does nothing to deny that the program existed, and that the people of Iraq suffered through it's abuse. About all it does is claim that Kofi Annan had nothing to do with the program.

They could hardly "swarm" missiles at Iran. At the absolute most (assuming that every launch works as planned, and they are allowed to do it without attacks against them and without loosing any launchers), they can launch around 300 missiles that can reach Israel.

    That's it, 300.

    http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/world/iran/missile.htm

And the Shahab series is not all that accurate. It is about as accurate as the original V-2 rocket it is based on. And even though Iran claims it has a CEP of 100 meters, most experts place it at more like 500-2,000 meters.

    http://www.missilethreat.com/missilesoftheworld/id.190/missile_detail.asp

And how many of these could Iran actually launch at a time? Most experts think it is 6.

    http://www.iiss.org/publications/st...llistic-missile-capabilities/press-statement/

Not much of a swarm, is it?

They may have a million missiles. If they only have 6 launchers, those numbers are not of much use. And what kind of launch effectiveness can we expect from the Shahab missile?

    Around 75% launch capability.

This is a famous photo from a few years ago. Iran held a dog & pony show, to show off their newest weapon. They set up 4 launchers to show their power. This is the photo they released to the world:

This is an undoctored photo of the same launch:

Dog and pony show, the best crews useing their best equipment at an event to show their firepower. And 25% of the missiles fail to launch.

No, no missile swarm will strike at Israel. A few missiles here and there, 4-6 at most. Then they will roadmarch the launchers (30-45 minutes), move really fast to another location, reload (2-12 hours), move to another location, set their equipment up to firing configuration (1+ hour), and do it again.

That is a sputtering volley of at most 6 missiles, every 4-14 hours.

This is something that people really need to understand. It does not matter a hill of beans how many missiles somebody has. Often times what matters most is the number of launchers they have. Because this is what really determins how many missiles a country or group can fire.

This is maybe a mile from the giant Oryx (we called it "The Goat).

I am in the process of moving, and do not know where my photos and videos are of Doha, but these are contemporary to the time I was there.

And I remember standing under the construction, right across the street from the downtown shopping mall. Looking up and in every direction is just like this. Massive construction as far as the eye can see. I believe I was standing at the base of the light tan colored building in the center frame.

In this photo alone you can see at least 10 seperate major construction projects.

I will have to look up Syria, I am about to go to work. I know I mentioned it here not to long ago. If I remember right, they have around 30 launchers.

As far as Hezbollah, they pretty much exclusively use a variant of the Katyusa. And they have been firing these into Israel for over a decade.

They Katyusha is of very limited use in modern warfare. It has a short range, and is not very accurate. In WWII, the Soviets invented them for use against German formations and for siege preparation.

These only have a range of around 5-10 km. And the rockets and launchers are rather crude and easy to make. The launchers and rockets can be made in just about any machine shop.

As for the numbers of these launchers, it is hard to tell. They have been seen mounted on in the backs of pickup trucks, and on the roofs of buildings.

But these are such short range and inaccurate weapons, about all they are good for is trying to kill civilians in border towns. Which is what Hezbollah uses them for.

Who was in charge of the somewhat porous blockade? The US Navy.

No mention of UN kickbacks here... or anything but American involvement...

"On November 27, 2007, Texas oil tycoon Oscar Wyatt, Jr. was sentenced to one year in prison and ordered to pay $11 million in restitution for his role in the Iraq oil-for-food scandal. Wyatt was originally arrested in October 2005 by the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Michael Garcia. In October 2007, Wyatt pleaded guilty to paying millions of dollars in illegal kickbacks to members of Saddam Hussein's regime in order to secure Iraqi oil contracts from 2000 to 2003.... "

There were kick backs all around. Russia, France, and China received the lion's share of the oil so look there for most of the corruption. The UN, all the way to the top, is also highly suspect and certainly individual members received kick backs.

Ironically, an Australian wheat organization received the single biggest kickback.

So, why would we not be better off helping those States improve their energy infrastructure in our global economy, than with any common offense or general warfare?

I am aware of that. And the reload time I gave is based upon a solid fueled rocket. If it is liquid fueled, it will be longer. The question is why I placed a + at the end of the time given.

Roload of these missiles is not a fast undertaking in any situation. Even assuming that the fresh missile is on the reload vehicle already, you have to remove any equipment like cannisters and equipment for the old missile from the launcher, adequitely gound the reloader and launcher, transfer the new missile, hool it up and run diagnostic tests, then prepare the launcher for transport.

And for a ballistic missile, launching is also a longer procedure. In order to get any kind of accuracy, you have to know both exactly where you are, and exactly where you want the missile to land. And this all must be fed exactly right into the launch computer.

I am aware of that as well. But remember, I mostly base my estimates on what is publically known and I can confirm from independent sources.

The only proof of any longer range missiles is from 2006, when Hezbollah fired around 5 Fajr-5 rockets into Israel. This missile has a range of around 50 km, and is nothing more then an upsized kaytusha. No real guidence system, it simply flies until it runs out of fuel then comes down.

These Iranian made missiles are like the Kaytusha, and of no use as a military weapon. And it is believed they have no more then 1 or 2 launchers, and no more then 30 missiles.

There are also various reports that they might have other missiles, like the Zelzal-2 (200 km range, unguided) and Syrian made SCUDs. But none of these are confirmed.

The thing that needs to be remembered is that none of the missiles even claimed to be in the possession of Hezbollah are guided missiles. There is no GPS, not even any kind of gyroscopic inertial guidence (essentially "travel this far in this direction then land and detonate"). These are all unguided, and mostly travel until they run out of fuel then land (like WWII German V-1 and V-2 missiles). The only way to control in any way where they land is to load a preconfigured amount of fuel, and to aim them in the direction of their target.

As military weapons, these are worse then useless. They are only effective against cities and civilians. Not only can they not hit the broad side of a barn, they can not even realistically hit the farm itself.

Look, we would vastly prefir to get along with everybody over there the way we do with the Saudis. And as demonstrated by that reltionship, we're quite willing to buy oil and play nice with people that preach had against us.

And as demonstrated in the earlier pics, the countries that are willing to be even a little rational are rolling around in money.

THe problem is that certain countries are choosing hate, conflict, and war over there.

I think you're having a hard time grasping this, and I don't know how old you are, but that's actually understandable.

But when we say that they'd kill you if you went to some of these countries and called their prophet a lying pedophile in public. It is not the same there as here.

You've probably left now that I've actually looked into your stuff, but just in case you haven't.

First, I can't help but notice that CNN logo in the video you posted. Good luck finding a story similarly critical of Putin on RT.

For the baby incubator thing, it was similarly reported, eventually by American news agencies that it was false. However that was a well orchastrated lie by a group about a part of the planet currently under military occupation and where reporters could not go freely to independintly verify anything. It probably wasn't even needed for the war anyway.

Extraordianry rendition isn't news to anybody, that's been quite covered by the press.

The soldier thing is just a ridiculous heap of allegations over a technical glitch. Paul was, and to a degree is, a joke, but as he's finally getting some votes he's now getting his time in the debates. And the press doesn't go on about Israel's nukes because the Israeli government doesn't lead chants of "death to America" and we haven't been at war with them.

Similarly it isn't news when other Muslim nations develop nuclear programs.

Though the bit that takes the cake is the one about the lady getting stoned. Your article one that is full of lies. That's an ongoing story, with accusatons of using torture to get confessions.

But here, I poked around RT since you like it so much, have some basic facts:
    http://rt.com/news/line/2011-12-25/#id24023

Now, this doesn't mean western media can't be duped, and that the white house can't spin things. But it's trying to report things as they are.

Interesting, though your sources indicate more missiles and more launchers than you mention in your post, the numbers still aren't that high.

Though I notice that despite the title the OP doesn't say anything about Iran using missiles against Israel. Rather the use of anti-ship missiles to shut down the strait and the possibility Russia or China might hurl nukes all over.
