No. The reason prices are high right how is because domestic oil interests have reduced supply. Every American barrel of the reduced supply falls on Biden's head. OPEC has reduced production by about 10% since the end of 2020. That hasn't caused the huge increase in fuel prices. It contributed some but the purposeful war on American oil certainly has been the major catalyst. Just ask any oil company employee.

I'm, not sure if I'll bother voting, but if I do its only to vote against fringe Congress critters.

Economy is self-fixing, and I don't see issues with civil rights.

    "Depression of historic proportions"....LOL

Domestic supply has not been reduced. It has increased 11.9% even though producers say they are being cautious after going all-in in 2020 and then getting burned. Prices are high due to global issues. US oil is not well suited for gasoline production anyway.

Yes, and it always does. Besides, the economy is pretty hot right now, with the inflation being the only issue, and even that is cooling as the global supply issues subside.

The legislation passed the Senate in August, but was stalled in the House as Democrats tried to negotiate a deal on a separate $1.9 trillion economic package, another key component of Biden's agenda that many Democrats had tied to the fate of the infrastructure bill.[/QUOTE]
True and good for him, but only after Republicans got the anti-work and socialism features stripped out. Much time wasted reaching for pie in the sky.
    What else?

    Trump:
Despite claims to the contrary, the Trump administration had undertaken a number of steps early to address the spread of Covid-19 in the states. He put in place a travel ban from China, he formed the Coronavirus Task Force, and he worked with businesses to begin ramping up production of needed medical supplies for healthcare workers. There were also a number of executive orders passed to tear down government restrictions that blocked businesses from manufacturing products outside their designed purpose.

    There are 2 issues.

First is the leaked Supreme Court ruling overturning Row vs Wade, and then on top of that, the possibility of reversing other civil rights rulings like gay marriage and interracial marriage, and that's just to start. The Republican platform.

Second is the economy, there is huge inflation, the rising price of gas, supply and demand issues, heavy regulation, etc. An economic failure. The Democratic platform.

Well, I suppose it depends what civil rights it is and how bad it is.

If it's only temporary, it might be more acceptable.

That's exactly what was thinking when I saw the poll choices, so I couldn't vote.... Why would 'fixing the economy' necessitate a choice between it and "civil rights"...? But, I don't understand people dyeing their hair weird colors, either, so maybe it's just me.... :lonely:

I vote for civil rights. Chief among them, the right to bear arms followed closely by the right to free speech.

I also vote for the right to own -and use as I see fit- property (resource), which will better allow me (and everyone else who so chooses) to better survive the poverty of a failing economy.

So in my mind, one necessarily leads into the other.
