I am a tipper. Unless I feel that the service is horrible. Even if subpar I tip. The thread is about -
    1. Tips not being legaly enforcable, so I and others tip because we're a nice people not because we have to. Interesting that a lot of people think tips are mandatory and that if a customer chooses not to tip they are a bad person when that is not true.
    2. That servers need to have the mentality of earning the tip and not just taking a job and expecting it to automatically be part of their earnings. Most seem to falsely feel that server=tips. It's actually server(who gives great customer service)=tips.

God bless the servers who have to put up with sorry people like you daily. You're nothing but a bitter man who can't figure out why he doesn't make what a server makes and is jealous.

It's all the same. And since I am the one who started the conversation it's up to you to keep up. I thank you for your contribution though.

It's called society and is what is expected in our society. Maybe join it and be happy. No one ever said mandatory either.

Again, your reading comprehension fails you. I've said, and I'll say again, that I ALWAYS tip well, for good service. 20-25% normally, and routinely. Thank God I do too, because your employer isn't paying you anything for showing up and generating the profit every day.

Panhandlers have to survive somehow too, and I completely understand so, again, you miss my point.

It's generally expected that the employer pays your salary, as well, and not simply make you work for free, depending on the public to dictate how much you're paid, or IF you get paid.

When did waiters and waitresses become 'panhandlers'?

Your lack of human compassion is showing.

Can you try to make some sense as to what I posted.

And how about that MEGA profit number I am still waiting for? What percent net profit is a MEGA profit?

What would you call people that show up for work for no salary, then badmouth the ones that graciously pay their way in life?

Answering with a question is not answering, it is YOUR assertion that companies are making MEGA profits, so what percentage profit is a MEGA profit?

Getting somebody to work for free, constitutes mega profit, wouldn't you say? I can't think of a better percentage than 'free'.

It's unlimited profit, like I've tired to point out.

No answer for how much is enough, huh? I didn't think so.

    - - - Updated - - -

I default to the same position you take.

The only bad mouthing on this thread is from you! LOL you still don't get it. I know it's a hard thing to understand. If you close your eyes it will all get better. But again, you've posted enough for me to say who cares what you think. You are from a different planet.

Unlimited profit. That's what profiteers always advocate. You've never heard that before?
