Jan. 6 hearing: Trump reportedly warned Pence they may no longer be friends

So you are blaming the 1/6 committee for the government not doing anything right? Out of curiosity, what do you think the government could be doing to solve the inflation situation?

 

The 1/6 panel is mostly comprised of political office holders, are they not? The very same ones who should be focusing on the country's problems. Democratic policies have put us in the position we are in. They were the ones who wanted to lock down the country during the pandemic. They are the ones who single handedly voted for the stimulus package, which increased inflation. They are the ones who are against dirty energy and for green energy, which drives up energy prices. They are the ones for wage gains, which have increased inflation. They are the ones who got out of Afghanistan so horribly that it gave Russia the incentive to invade Ukraine, driving up inflation. That doesn't even address rampant crime which was brought about by democrats wanting to defund the police and making the police out to be the bad guys and making the criminals out to be the good guys. Everything democrats do and stand for increases prices and crime and voters are beginning to notice it.

 

Create your own country if you have no problem with the POTUS committing crimes to retain power.

FYI, I still haven't forgotten about taking Putin's word over US intelligence services. !!!!

 

I blame(and others blame the 1/6 commission) for looking like Marie Antoinette's France! It has to be the highlight of both government arrogance and ignorance to hold this commission about an event two years in the making, at the height of the crisis. For example, we have that brave lady out of Wyoming who looks more interested in running for State AG of Wyoming than being a rep. Which is fine, but would she care to resign to pursue that passion? I feel for Wyoming citizens, what a waste of a vote that must've been.

As for what they could do? They could ease up on the supply chains, go back to the crude shale oil policies from 2016-2020. They should promote 'employment' benefits, not unemployment ones. Imagine positively introducing benefits to both employees and workers on employment. Now that would kick the economy into overdrive. I have more radical proposals, but this is within the realm of what they normally do and would be helpful.

But they gotta 'get Trump' before they even start thinking 'yeah, we need to govern'. If Republicans are the party of 'no', dems are the party of 'we don't give a ****'.

 

Respectfully, I disagree with what I've bolded. The evidence coming out of the hearings points directly to a POTUS who knew the election was not stolen but continued to push a narrative that resulted in violence but also to stuff his coffers. A woman and her mother were targeted - by Trump himself at a rally - and have lived in fear for their lives since. Democrats (and 60% of Americans) want to see justice for that and it would appear that Republicans 'don't give a ****.

 

Still, sadly, you haven't answered my question. You have no idea, it would seem, how the inflation issue could be fixed yet you think that 9 members of the committee should stop what they're doing to focus on a solution while the rest of Congress and the Senate have no idea either.

Either pick up their freaking responsibilities or resign en masse explaining to the voters that they are both incapable and unwilling to do their jobs.

 

I detailed why we have more inflation than we should have. Unfortunately, we don't have time machines to go back and correct all of the Democrat's wrong decisions. But, from here on out the best solution available is to make sure democrats don't make any more decisions which will make the problem worse. All they have done is throw gasoline on the fire with every policy they have done.

 

He was encouraging the investigation that was absolutely warranted. Again you simply misrepresent because you have nothing.

Trump DID encourage an investigation, but he ALSO tried to overthrow democracy and get others to overturn the actual vote to install him. Thats not really up for debate now that the J6 comission has brought this stuff to light. Trump wasnt calling Mike Pence out for not "investigating" he was calling him out for not certifying the electors that voted against Trump, which would install Trump. 2+2 = 4 every time

 

It's obvious you and many more like you (like Pence, for example) don't care about democracy in elections.

I have yet to read any of you even touch on the fact that Powell admitted she lied. There is no other conclusion to that except to accept that Trump lied too since they both said the same thing.
