While they are ULTIMATELY under his control, he can only order them out under SPECIFIC circumstances and the ACTUAL control of deployment is delegated to the commander of the DC guard.

Furthermore, according to Christopher Millers testimony, they had full authority to call in the national guard. The president told them they would need 10,000 NG troops and were told quote “to do whatever you need to do” twice.

Now, again, for the eighth time, I'll ask the question: What was your opinion when Senator Tom Cotton was asking that the military be brought in to suppress the BLM riots that cost about $2 billion in damages, went on for months, ended with over two dozen people dead, and over 2,000 police officers injured, despite the fact that a lot of people on your side did not like that idea very much?

You are skating around the question of whether or not you agreed with Senator Tom Cotton asking that the military (which could be just sending in the National Guard and doesn't necessarily include sending other force types, such as the Marines) be deployed to suppress the BLM riots. This should not be a hard question to answer, unless you are a hypocrite.

No, sending in the regular military is not the same thing as sending in the guard.
