Trump's goons who attacked Congress to prevent the will of the people being respected, injuring 140 outnumbered police in their failed attempt, are joining with McConnell, McCarthy, Barr, Chrisite, Cheney and others in pointing the finger at the Cry Baby Loser: An Ohio man charged with obstruction for his role in the Capitol riot told a federal judge he intends to call Trump as a witness... (I)n a motion titled “Brief in Support of Testimony of Donald J. Trump, Et Al,” Thompson’s attorney, Samuel H. Shamansky, informed the court they believe a jury should hear from the former president at Thompson’s trial date in April. According to Shamansky’s filing, Trump’s testimony will be part of a public authority defense arguing, in brief, the former president authorized Thompson and other rioters to enter the Capitol on Jan. 6... “It is anticipated that, when called as a witness, Donald J. Trump will testify that he and others orchestrated a carefully crafted plot to call into question the integrity of the 2020 presidential election and the validity of President Biden’s victory... Moreover, it will be established at trial that Mr. Trump and his conspirators engaged in a concerted effort to deceive the public, including Defendant, into believing that American democracy was at stake if Congress was permitted to certify the election results.” “Defendant submits that the testimony of Mr. Trump and his conspirators will establish that they were determined, by any means necessary, to prevent Congress from fulfilling its constitutional mandate to certify the election results,” he wrote. “In order to accomplish that goal, the conspirators Defendant now seeks to subpoena engaged in a concerted effort to organize, encourage, and direct rally participants to storm the Capitol, enter the grounds, ‘fight like hell,’ and ‘engage in trial by combat.’” Other defendants in Capitol riot cases have blamed Trump for their presence at the Capitol on Jan. 6, but Thompson is the first to formally notify the court he intends to call him as a witness at trial. https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/n...ary-6/65-92489254-7b85-4167-bae1-bfab8a6a8768 The Loser has been fighting a desperate losing battle to hide relevant documents and stop his lickspittles from testifying under oath regarding his communications and behavior before and during his goon attack.
It's almost like there are actually people who care more about the Constitution than they do licking Trump's boots and trying to install him as an unelected dictator. Weird, right? Then why did they cause physical harm?
You think that Trump taking the Presidency in such a manner would have led to peaceful transfer of power and normal second term? If you thought the BLM riots were bad, can you imagine the riots from the left if Trump's people had invalidated the votes of millions of Americans? We would probably be in the middle of a civil war right now. I'm not sure we won't have one anyway, but that most assuredly would have caused one.
I don't think anyone but democrats are under the illusion that any other election outcome than did occur, could have. Even if the rowdiest of the "mostly peaceful protesters" had cornered Pence and Pelosi huddled together in a bathroom stall, the results of the election would still have been ratified in the end.
I don't support government mandates for vaccines, and private companies requiring vaccines (which I do support) isn't unconstitutional. Now that you are done scurrying to find some way to run away from the topic, perhaps address whether or not you are okay with reversing the results of elections.
I sometimes speculate that this is the reason all those election lawsuits were thrown out, not on the merits of the case but fear of igniting a civil war. I would have thrown out the lawsuit too. Better a fraudulently elected Biden than a truthful invalidation of an election.
The simple explanation is usually the correct one - and the simple one is there was not enough evidence to continue the cases of fraud. Every recount has shown this to be true.
I voted 3rd party. I'll try again (and you will run away again): Now that you are done scurrying to find some way to run away from the topic, perhaps address whether or not you are okay with reversing the results of elections.
Dude. jan 6th is a dead end. It was a ONE OFF event where those who found themselves wrapped up in the moment have all been arrested and are on trial to be punished. The only person who died was a rioter. It's a dead issue. The only people who want to hang on to this like it was something more than it was are progressives who in the face of daily examples of BLM violence and ridiculous morals...Biden going full authoritarian in-between his weekly **** ups -only have January 6th to cling on too as a way to say "see! Trumpers are the bad guys!" Got anything else or?
More than one person died. And I wasn't talking about the riot. I was talking about Trump's attempts to reverse the results of the election, while still remaining the leader of the party. Strike 2. I'll try again (and you will run away again): Now that you are done scurrying to find some way to run away from the topic, perhaps address whether or not you are okay with reversing the results of elections.
Nope! You are talking out your ass. That day only one person died and it was a rioter shot by a cop. I don't give two shits about how you want to expand the death count by telling me these sad stories after the fact. The moment you need to pull that weak ass talking point is the moment you know you've lost the plot. Especially when I can point you towards way more violent and destructive BLM or Antifa protests that actually did have a body count the night of, of which you could care less about making a thread about it. And that's where your sincerity also gets called into question. Lack of consistency or as we conservatives like to say "rules for the but not for me!" "fiery yet peaceful" CNN talking points Come back with something better than Jan 6th fella.
You are missing out on a couple of other deaths, including one woman trampled to death by the mob. But, again, I'm not even talking about the riot. Seeing as I've already told you that wasn't even what I was talking about, let's see if we can get you to be honest. I'm talking about Trump's attempts to reverse the results of the election, NOT the riot. Please read that over and over again until it manages to sink in. Strike 3. But we'll give you a freebie. I'll try again (and you will run away again): Now that you are done scurrying to find some way to run away from the topic, perhaps address whether or not you are okay with reversing the results of elections.
Nope. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/w...ntoxication-medical-examiner-says/ar-BB1fpc2U "A woman captured on video being trampled during the Capitol riot died of acute amphetamine intoxication, according to a release Wednesday from the D.C. Officer of the Chief Medical Examiner." Good night on that bullshit talking point. Trump had every right to question the outcome of the election and demand it be investigated. After they came to a conclusion that there was no voting fraud, he stepped down. Not a big deal.
He didn't just try to "question the outcome" and "demand it be investigated." He tried to bypass the EC and have himself installed as an unelected President. And, no, he didn't stop his effort "after they came to a conclusion that there was no voting fraud." If it weren't a big deal, you wouldn't have to make up **** that isn't so in order to run away from the topic.
Ok so we've moved on from the idea that more than 1 person died at your Alamo yeah? progress! Who cares if he DEMANDED? It's his right. I haven't ran away from the topic at all. It's so *******n boring and useless for reasons I've already explained. Worse **** going against our constitution which you claim to care about are going on RIGHT NOW and are more pressing matters than something that you think happened over 2 years ago. Trump is currently NOT in power and someone else who's acting much more authoritarian is. Maybe, and this is just me spitballing here...but maybe you should focus in on who's currently in power, acting authoritarian and less on someone who isn't or an event that happened more than 2 years ago?
More than one person died. It wasn't even just the person trampled and Babbitt. It's just that you are using this as a desperate attempt to evade. Anyone who cares about the Constitution. Which clearly you don't. It isn't "his right" to try to reverse an election. Bull ****. No one has done more to try to overthrow our Constitutional elections than Trump has. Yet he remains the leader of the party. Trump is far, far more authoritarian than Biden, and he remains the leader of his party. Maybe, and this is just spitballing here, you could try giving two shits about our Constitutional elections. If you did, you'd be railing against Trump as well. But, lets face it, that will never happen. Some people will always value party over principle. As for Biden, he's enormously flawed and I support any and all investigations into him. But he still didn't try to overthrow our elections and install himself as an unelected dictator. Trump did.
YOU brought up the person who was trampled and that turned out to be bullshit. So who else bud? Send me a link or I'll just keep that talking point in the trash where it belongs. Yes I do. Which is why I'm actually vocal against the mandates or the policies that treat people who elected to not get vac'd as secondary citizens supported by the authoritarian government we just voted in. That's REAL WORLD and happening RIGHT NOW. And not a "what if" that may have happened 2 years ago where all the investigations we've had so far have stated it's not a thing. It's his right to DEMAND an investigation. And if people follow through with that demand is up to the courts and policy. Try to stick with what you said. Investigations say otherwise. Right now you may as well be right beside those who still think the election was stolen. And yet Biden supports both policies that are racist and authoritarian mandates that limit the freedoms of the population. Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck... You are now repeating yourself because you ran out of anything to say 4 quotes ago! BORING! lol.
The went to protest the electors just as the Dems have done and few got violent and it turned into a riot. Your guys wanting to call Trump will be tossed, he had no direct contact nor has any first hand knowledge of the man. If the guy wants to show a video of Trump telling him to go and riot and engage in violence he is free to do so and make his case.
Did Al Gore have a right to try and do so? Does Stacy Abrams? Did the 11 members of the Senate when they tried to do the same when Trump was elected? Trump was trying, right or wrong, to LEGALLY CHALLENGE the election under the Electoral Voting Act.
The Trump goon attack on Congress is unprecedented, of course - the first time in U.S. history that the admirable tradition of peaceful transfers of power has been violated. The Cry Baby Loser still cannot find the testicular fortitude and patriotic integrity to acknowledge defeat. He persists in lying to his lickspittles and pleasuring himself with petty vendettas that Republicans are desperate to put behind them. If Trump and his toadies have documentation and can provide first-hand testimony that absolve him of inciting his goons, and proof that he did not pleasure himself in dereliction of duty by watching them savage the police for hours, it is certainly in the Loser's interests to come clean and share it. His desperate attempts to hide it will fail.
