Paul says in Roman's that ALL have sinned. How do you reconcile that? I think you like to play and twist Scriptures. Do you know what happens to people that twist Scripture?

No, I'm saying you don't rightly divide the Word. Read this from the Book of Acts chapter 13. This is your last message from me. Bye.

42 As Paul and Barnabas were going out, the people were urging them to speak about these things on the next Sabbath. 43 When the meeting of the synagogue had broken up, many of the Jews and God-fearing proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who were speaking with them and were persuading them to continue in the grace of God.

44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city assembled together to hear the word of the Lord. 45 But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and they began to contradict what Paul was saying by reviling him.

46 Both Paul and Barnabas replied courageously, “It was necessary to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we are turning to the Gentiles. 47 For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have appointed you to be a light for the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’” [Isaiah 49:6; see also Luke 2:29-32; Luke 4]

The Luke stories are cute and silly and without any basis in reality. For instance, in Luke chapter 2 there is an angel, a crazy old man, and an insane woman who hung out in the temple like a bat. Mary has interactions with all of them, who tell her that her baby was super special because he was the son of God. Yet when he starts preaching and doing his magic tricks she doesn't believe in him and thinks that he is nuts.

In Luke chapter 4, the Jesus character and the devil are alone in the desert for 40 days. So how does the writer know their dialogue? Who told the writer what happened between Jesus and the devil?

If people believe in that fairy tale they will believe in anything.

    The bible, eh

I prefer, and agree with, Einstein's description of the book … ...a collection of honorable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish...

By the way, dairy, do you also still believe in the tooth fairy?

So the consensus is there is no consensus. You do not know what Jesus meant, besides the obvious interpretation.

All taken out of context, As usual.

Isaiah is all about Israel. Study the Jewish 'suffering servant' in Isaiah. There are four 'suffering servant songs. None are to do with Jesus. All are to do with the suffering of the Jews and the Jewish 'end of times', when Israel will be the supreme nation, and all others will recognise what Israel has suffered over the millenia under other nations and Jahweh recognised as Supreme ruler. .

That;'s the Jewish interpretation before Christianity ever appeared. Now Christianity uses OT scriptures to make its own 'end of times'. Most of Revelations is images taken from the OT and Jesus added. Before this was written the Essenes had also taken those images for their Book of Revelation but added mother earth instead of Jesus.

The Book of Acts is taken out of context???? Now that is funny. Christians believe that is the Word of God. Carry on. It's been recognized as the Word of God by Christians and the Jewish Apostles. I think I'll stand with the Apostles who walked with Jesus and saw him after his resurrection.

    Was he?

Do you have proof outside the Bible that he actually existed?

They don't even know that there was no one named "Jesus" until 1631 AD. It is doubtful if they know anything at all about their favorite religious fairy tale.

That's why the following is true:

    Jesus = Santa Clause

They are equivalently the same, yet we expect children to stop believing in Santa by a certain age.

The Qu'ran has been recognised by Islam as gods speaking through Mohammed. What the difference? You have JW's, Mormons, etc all having had visions of god speaking to them in some way.

The verses you quote are all taken out of OT contexts. You should study Judaism and the OT. Paul adapted many OT teachings and used many Greek philosophical teachings in his ministry. He was well versed, by Gamaliel, in Greek philiosophy..

Isaiah has nothing to do with Christianity -it's all about Israel. Most of Jesus teaching can be found in the OT. The Baptism, supposed temptation, teachings and actions of Jesus are in accordance with Judaism. Decades after Jesus death in 28CE. some writers put down secondhand information and called the Gospels. They added items to give Jesus divinity. The writer of Matthews Gospel is desperate to make Jesus Divine so he uses OT verses - completely out of context - to do so. The Nativity stories contradict each other and go against Jewish and Roman law. They are simply made up stories. As is the trial and crucifixion. I've no doubt that a Jewish baby was born - probably in Nazareth, Josephs home town - and grew up to become a great Jewish evangelist who showed up the hypocrisy of the Religious hierarchy and was eventually crucified. The story of Barabbas is completely fictional. If a man such as Barabbas was found guilty he was put to death there and then. There were no jails to keep people in. Punishment was almost instant.

The Gospels were written by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Paul met the risen Jesus and was filled with the Holy Spirit, then Jesus opened his understanding of the OT prophecies concerning Jesus. The Apostle Peter wrote First and Second Peter. The Apostle John wrote the Gospel of John, the three epistles of John, and the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. The Books of Jude and James were written by the brothers of Jesus. Sorry, you've been lied to.

Someone has been lied to and its not Trevor.
Saul, the persecutor of Christians, the handyman of Satan, is who you put your faith in?

He completely made up the vision story. Him and Satan. To pull people away from Jesus.
    To lead them into damnation

You've been well indoctrinated.Unfortunately your teacher was wrong. No-one really knows who wrote the Gospels. They are mainly 'by tradition'. If John actually wrote all you say, he must have been well over 100 when he wrote the Revelations. And they weren't the Revelations of John, they are mostly images taken from the OT with Jesus added as part of it. The same images were used earlier by the Essenes who added mother earth to theirs.
Jesus died in 28CE. All his disciples would have been about the same age. Jewish tradition..If Matthew wrote his gospel he would have been in his old age. 'Remarkably' he could remember the 3 chapters of the Sermon on the Mount verbatim. After 50 years? And much of it is from the OT. His gospel misuses the OT to make Jesus divine. If you understand the OT you will see this. The writer of Matthew uses Hosea 11:1. to send Joseph to Egypt and ignores the rest of the chapter. Doing this makes the Bible a nonsense out of which you can 'prove' anything. Anyway Luke says he never went to Egypt but back to Nazareth.

There are no prophecies of Jesus in the OT. It is about, and for, the Jews. I know all the claims made by Christianity but if you understand Judaism they remain in Judaism. Virtually everything Jesus did and said is Judaistic, except that added by later Christian writers.

    You need a little study.

Your ignore list will grow even longer. You obviously have never studied the Bible and the background on which it was written. All I posted can be proven if you bothered to study a little.
The Essene Book of Revelation https://reluctant-messenger.com/essene/revelation.htm
    • - 'Matthew' uses Hosea 11:1 to send Jesus to Egypt. Strangely the verse talks about Israel - not Jesus. He also ignores the sins that Israel committed. Did Jesus commit these? If Joseph and the family went to Egypt it would have been for a reasonable amount of time. However Luke says that Joseph back to Nazareth 40 days after his birth. That's the length of Mary's purification period. Joseph and family cannot be in Nazareth and Egypt at the same time. The rest of the story. is complete nonsense if you know Jewish and Roman law of the time. Joseph should have been in Nazareth for the Census according to Roman Law. You really need to study outside of the Bible.
Psalm 22 does not prophesy Jesus death. Jesus used this because it was apppropriate. Jesus knew the OT better than most Christians today. Psalm 22 - for ANYONE who has studied the life of David - will know that the events in the Psalm are events in Davids life. They are written in the Hebrew poetic style. David suffered from his enemies, friends and even his family. He was 'stabbed in the back' by his favourite son,Absolam, and defied by others. This Psalm is about his life.

Actually, there is proof if you're a scholar and do the research. For the skeptic, there are always the naysayers and nonbelievers who love to sow doubt and unbelief. I believe the Holy Spirit wrote the Scriptures through many people. I believe that with all my being because I have experienced the Holy Spirit.
