Renewables that work such as nuclear? But then this discussion is about oil and gas are you giving up on that one and admit he is doing NOTHING to increase our own drilling and processing and in fact what he can to slow it to a halt?
Biden has to walk a fine line between oil policy and climate change policy. He tends to leave the free enterprise oil businesses alone, but tries to advance futuristic climate change technology. It’s a good balance. Certainly better than “Drill baby drill”.
Let's see he has only taken massive tracts of federal land off the table, increased the cost of leasing federal lands, stopped free enterprise pipelines, curtailed new drilling in the Gulf, EO's attempting to end production of ICE autos, efforts to stop fracking and natural gas usage by the federal government and on and on and on. And the end results are HUGE cost increases for the citizens and HUGE losses for companies he he dictating to.
Yet under Biden's administration, our Country has smashed all records in amount of barrels drilled and amount of oil exported and sold to other countries. You know, the true definition of energy independence. It's as if rightists live in a fairy tale of lies. LOL
U.S. Crude oil production, Federal Land 2016; 25% of total production…..Obama 2017; 25% of total production…..Trump 2018; 25% of total production…..Trump 2019; 25% of total production…..Trump 2020; 25% of total production…..Trump Claim; Biden raising Federal Land rates & fees will slow drilling, and scare off investors. Really? 2021; 27% of total production 2022: 29% of total production 2023; 31% of total production…..Federal land production, 6% higher than Trump.
US oil and gas auction yields nearly $80 million for federal coffers May 25, 2023 (Reuters) - The U.S. on Thursday held its first sale of oil and gas drilling rights on federal lands since passage of President Joe Biden's landmark climate change law, attracting more than $78 million in high bids for leases in New Mexico and Kansas. The federal auction was just the second to be held in New Mexico, the nation's second-largest oil-producing state, since Biden became president in 2021. Promontory Exploration LP of Midland, Texas and Devon Energy Corp (DVN.N), opens new tab of Oklahoma City were the auction's top spenders, each picking up leases Biden's Interior Department had attempted to suspend federal oil and gas leasing to study its environmental and climate impacts, but the Inflation Reduction Act that passed last year requires some oil and gas auctions if federal rights of way are offered for renewable energy projects. The 19 offered parcels on 3,300 acres (1,335.5 hectares) in New Mexico garnered 99.9% of the high bid total of $78.81 million, according to sale information published by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. in New Mexico. Terms of the sale reflect new IRA requirements including royalty rates of 16.67%, up from a prior 12.5%, and bids starting at $10 an acre compared with $2 an acre before passage of the law. Several environmental groups filed protests that sought cancellation of the sale by BLM. Among other concerns, they said the Biden administration had failed to analyze mitigation efforts to address the impact of greenhouse gas emissions from development of the parcels.
May 2023…..New Mexico’s federal land bids amounted to approx. $80 million, and despite the fact Biden raised onshore royalty rate and other fees. Why Devon Energy, and other oil&gas producers were willing to spend big dollars? Economic 101…….New Mexico’s Federal land, Permian Basin have the highest producing wells in the country, and significantly higher than Texas Permian Basin wells.
But one day, the oil will run out, that's something that can't be denied, so weaning the population off fossil fuels now is a good thing. And apparently the US only has 2.1% of the worlds oil, after it's gone we have to import from some countries that don't like us that much. https://www.worldometers.info/oil/
May 3, 2024: Rasmussen Presidential Poll: Election 2024: Trump Now +10 Over Biden https://www.rasmussenreports.com/pu...tration/election_2024_trump_now_10_over_biden
My point contradicts the following belief; Biden raising onshore royalty rate and other fees will scare away investors and slow drilling. Last auction, New Mexico’s Federal Land didn’t scared off Devon Energy, and several other producers. Auction yielded $80 million, 3,300 acres, average price per acre; $24,000.
Media Bias Fact Check Literally is a written opinion site by a man with a ""Communications Degree in college"" Dave Van Zandt The flagrant and simplistic nature of these bogus critiques suggests that Media Bias Fact Check is either inept and/or dishonest. https://www.justfactsdaily.com/media-bias-fact-check-incompetent-or-dishonest Discredited, self-styled ‘fact-checker’ website was served with a ‘cease and desist’ legal notice today for publishing unsubstantiated and defamatory claims against Principia Scientific International (PSI). MEDIA BIAS/FACT CHECK site owner admits he is unqualified and misrepresented himself as a seasoned journalist. https://climatechangedispatch.com/media-bias-fact-check-site-served-cease-and-desist/ Media Bias/Fact Check bills itself as "The most comprehensive media bias resource." It's run by Dave Van Zandt, making it fair to say it's run by "some guy" ("Dave studied Communications in college" is his main claim to expertise). We have nothing against "some guy" possessing expertise despite a lack of qualifications, of course. One doesn't need a degree or awards (or audience) to be right about stuff. But is Van Zandt and his Media Bias/Fact Check right about PolitiFact? https://www.politifactbias.com/2017/10/can-you-trust-what-media-biasfact-check.html Media Bias Fact Check Is a Major SCAM to Silence the Right https://www.independentsentinel.com/media-bias-fact-checking-scam-silence-right/ Don't trust Fact checkers, especially not this one. It favors fake news on the left, and to true sites that are not on the mainstream media, it labels as conspiracy theory and junk pseudo science, when the truth is just the opposite. This website is as biased and as full of lies as you get. https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/mediabiasfactcheck.com Conservatives have criticized the liberal "fact-checking" website for being subjective and often outright false.[19][20][21] On their "10 Best Fact Checking Sites," they list several objectively false and generally inaccurate left-wing "fact-checkers," including PolitiFact, Snopes, and the Fact Checker by the Washington Post.[22] Media Bias Fact Check sources its information from the Anti-Defamation League and the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center in order to inaccurately label right-wing websites and organizations as "questionable" sources according to Robert Spencer, who wrote to Media Bias/Fact Check's editor describing the attacks on his website, Jihad Watch, as "pure libel," afterward claiming he received no response from the editor.[23] https://conservapedia.com/Media_Bias_Fact_Check Perhaps the most jarring instance of these scams is a site called “Media Bias Fact Check” which turns out to be just one guy making up whatever he feels like about news outlets, based on what he admits is his personal opinion, while typically providing no evidence – and then altering the ratings of news outlets who point out his scam. https://www.palmerreport.com/politics/palmer-report-exclusive-media-bias-fact-check/2115/ Overall, such fallacious attacks on outsider-opinion represent an effort to strangle social discourse from the top down. In this writer’s opinion, sites like Media Bias Fact Check constitute a desperate retaliatory measure in the wake of the legacy media’s loss of collective attention, and seek to reinforce narrative control in the hands of organizations like the Atlantic Council while smearing reliable sources of scientific journalism like WikiLeaks. https://www.investmentwatchblog.com...ikileaks-supports-western-propaganda-machine/
Now do tell, when will those be operable. I'll help you 3-4 years. Biden was the only president in modern history to not have a federal lease sale in his first 12 months, much less 24 months, those may go online in 2026. Biden did everything in his power to give the impression he was going to end fossil fuels as he promised. Then as gas went through the roof and made inflation worse, he panicked, sold all our reserves and opened up sales for federal leases that he could've been doing all along. He's an idiot and anyone thinking his energy policy on oil is a good when is right there with him. https://news.bloomberglaw.com/envir...lic-land-oil-and-gas-lease-sales-survive-suit
https://cdn-gmlal.nitrocdn.com/COEF...s/2014/10/Midland-vs-Delaware-Basin-Fig-4.png Check the basin that’s colored purple……that’s the next oil rush…..not Alaska. Texas; State land/private land New Mexico; Mainly Federal Land….oil&gas producer’s combined 2024 Capex; over $12 billion. MAGA’s belief; Biden raising rates and fees will scare away investors, and slow drilling activities ….apparently not.
Devon Energy recently spent $78 million to secure 3,300 acres, federal land, New Mexico MAGA’s “Oh My God” reaction to the following rate/fee increases; Royalty rates will rise to 16.67% from 12.5%, and the minimum amount companies can bid at oil and gas auctions will increase to $10 an acre from $2. The rental rate for a 10-year lease will double to $3 an acre for the first two years, eventually rising to $15 per acre in the final years. The fees can be adjusted for inflation after 10 years. Overreacting?????
I would encourage you to look up the ratings of MSNBC and CNN on Media Bias Fact Check, and I think you’ll find that they are a great source.
One day the cobalt and other rare earth minerals will run out. In the meantime our reserves are huge and ONLY 2.4%.
OfCourse that has nothing to do with what I said. Fact Biden hasn't sold a lease that will produce until 2025. Biden emptied our reserves after stating he would end oil drilling and slowing new rig exploration. Yes Trump's and those intelligent presidents's wells were asked to produce more and have responded to finally getting to and surpassing 2019 production, Biden didn't have one damn thing to do with it other than ensure the price went up on gas therefore more profitable to increase production.
Quote; Biden hasn’t sold a lease that will produce until 2025 Your claim opens up a can of worms; The 4 - 5 years it takes from auctioning a parcel of land to producing the first barrel of oil is just an average timeframe. Are the new leases/acres located near active wells/existing infrastructure? Is so, then within one year after obtaining a drilling permit.
Delaware basin reserve; 46 billion barrels of recoverable oil. https://www.forbes.com/sites/ianpal...l-the-permian-basin-is-still-riding-the-wave/ Highest productive wells, New Mexico, federal land https://images.app.goo.gl/9dBNynJYyyPvcadp8 Willow project in Alaska; 600 million barrels of recoverable oil https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willow_project For a better understanding, I just wanted to compare a basketball to a peanut.
CATL, the number 1 EV battery manufacturer and licenser in the world just announced a Sodium battery technology available for licensing. This will revolutionize the EV industry. 1. Less Expensive 2. Limits or eliminates Lithium and other rare earth minerals. 3. Maintains over 90% of charge at -20 C (extremely desirable feature in North America) 4. Charges to 80% in 15 minutes. 5. Over 5000 charging cycles (easily 15-20 years). 6. They are selling licenses, and aiding in construction and startup. That way companies like GM, Ford, VW, etc. can make their own batteries, and vehicles can qualify for local rebates.
