Because those are the two people want to vote for. Who is forcing anyone to vote for them?

You cannot say "OMG we only have two choices" when you clearly have more than two choices. The fact that the majority does not agree with you does not mean you do not have a voice, or that your choices are limited, or that you are being oppressed.

No, they aren't. They're the two - the only two - that people feel have any chance of winning the election. Spoiler mentality, you know.

So a choice is only a choice if a lot of other people agree with you? Did you really just say that? LOL!

No, that isn't what I said. I said that only two of the parties are perceived by the voters as being viable voting options. I am saying that people vote for them for that reason, not because they actually prefer those two parties over the others.

So what? How does that limit their choices? When you go to Baskin Robbins, do you complain that they are only offering 2 or 3 flavors? "OMG Cookies and Cream doesn't count because only about 1% of your customers would ever choose that" heh heh

The fact that a majority CHOOSE one of the two big parties does not mean they only have 2 choices.

That's not choice - it is the illusion of choice à la "You can have any colour as long as it's black."

Look at any functional democratic government today - they have far more than just two parties winning elections. That's the strength of the parliamentary system vs our own. Our system bred this two-headed monster.

It's not a choice you like. That does not mean it is not a choice.

The fact that the majority does not agree with you is not evidence that you have no choices.

So what? Those people made different choices.

Because Americans do not like to share, and do not like ambiguity. It is a cultural thing. It does not mean you do not have a choice.

If you really think their system is better, I can think of a really easy solution to your problem.

Who says no one wants to solve? they simply all look at the US to meddle, do you know the chaos that will happen if the US one day announces it stops all its foreign interferance ? there are billions of $ in trade deals that count of US backing them, military backing them.

Israeli has lied to the world about Iran having nukes for at least 25 years.
Why are you so keen to believe the latest lies?

Iran was a democracy until 1953 when America decided it was the wrong kind of democracy, overthrew the Mossadegh government and installed a murderous puppet dictator, the Shah. All the issues America now has with Iran are of your own making. The answer? Quit meddling in other's internal affairs.

I disagree. I think the answer is to fix what we broke by installing another democracy.

    - - - Updated - - -

Because it is believable that Iran would attempt such a thing. And because I am biased against non-democracies anyway.

We are not bombing them to smithereens yet. That is the point of precision weapons. Carpet bombing would be far more effective, and far cheaper. We do not do it because we want to minimize collateral deaths.

...says everyone biased against the US to begin with....

I believe 64% of Americans would change their minds if they new they would be paying higher fuel prices and higher tax rates.

Precision weapons ? They are a con, to make you, the 'caring' American people think that only baddies are being murdered in their beds.

The Stanford NYU report on Living Under Drones :-
    http://www.livingunderdrones.org/

What 'you' are actually doing is killing the Tribal peoples just as you did when you first went to America, 'you' are the same people who have always done the same thing. Steal from the Tribal peoples.
In the insidious ways of this 'your' Insidious Empire 'my' own people are complicit, the difference between you and I is that I see what is being done 'in my name'. You do not.

It hurts when we realise the truth about our own 'powers that be' but in order to find our way to live in Peace on this Planet the first step has to be to face that truth and 'repent' ( change our minds ).

    Precision weapons.

    LOL

If you really believe that, I guess you are pretty screwed then.

Become the majority and you can do something about it. I am unconvinced you have some special knowledge of this situation that everyone else does not.

Only the Right believes in soothsaying doomsdays for free; some liberals believe we should be burdening the wealthiest with doomsday Tax rates in that case.

Why is it believable; because Israel and the US government, the same lot that told you about WMDs in Iraq, say so?
These stupid stories have been flying about for 25 years and not one bit of evidence has been produced to back them up.

As for non-democracies, Iran was a democracy until Britain and America removed their democratically elected government in favour of the Shah.
That's the root of all the trouble over there.
Basically, western messing around caused it.

Perhaps you'd like to denounce that American administration for removing the elected government.

I think there may have been too much reefer madness going on when they claimed that.

We're not going to war with Iran. It would be far too expensive, and people are tired of war.

I think we are moving away from the brink. From the limited reports that are about, the meetings between the US and Iran have proved very fruitful

I hope so, although I prefer just keeping an eye on Iran. We should probably ease off on them about nukes but just keep monitoring them.
