Another win for gun rights and another loss for the hopelessly hoplophobic, because no matter how you slice it these lawsuits are about making owning/buying/feeding a gun as expensive and cumbersome as possible.

Yeah lets not hold his parents, who are both intelligent professionals, responsible even though he purportedly has been obsessed with murder since he was 14.

Let's not hold the public school systems responsible for letting him go through school looney tunes for at least 4 years.

Let's not hold ANY adult, friend, or associate responsible.

Let's also note he purchased THOUSANDS of dollars in guns and ammo. Where did this money come from since it looks like he didn't have a job? Apparently mommy and daddy weren't paying much attention.

We also should not hold the Crisis Hotline accountable since he apparently got disconnected after 9 seconds. (All my sources were quick lookups, admittedly I didn't do much research here, my apologies to anyone if I got anything wrong).

My point is out of all these people, over all those years the stunning conclusion was: blame the mail order ammo guys.

Lucky Gunner sells ammo exactly the same as any other dealer who sells online.
Here's a quote from the story:
"A crazed, homicidal killer should not be able to amass a military arsenal, without showing his face or answering a single question, with the simple click of a mouse," Brady Center's Legal Action Project Director Jonathan Lowy said at the time. "If businesses choose to sell military-grade equipment online, they must screen purchasers to prevent arming people like James Holmes."
What the Brady Center proposes here is the negation of the free market system. God only knows what sort of Government they have in mind.
If I recall correctly, Mr. Holmes was not even diagnosed with any mental issues, so super duper background checks would not have stopped this either. He's a kook. Kooks happen. Even if he couldn't get guns, there was nothing to stop him from using gas bombs or some other means. A dog will hunt.
It's good to see that this case sets a precedent that will make future similar suits much less likely.

Exactly. You can't legislate against crazy or stupid.

The judge did the right thing under Rule 11. However, he did not go far enough. The goal of the Brady thugs was to bankrupt the ammo dealer and that should be the punishment imposed on the Brady thugs. The Judge should hit the Brady center with a punitive sanction that would do the same thing to those liars that they wished to do to the ammo dealer--ruin them. That suit was so dishonest that the Brady Center should be put out of business for what it did

Military grade ammo? Since when are shotguns shells, .40 and.223 military grade? These are some of the most common civilian used ammunition that there are.

OC, the liberal propaganda machine cares not for truth. The unwashed masses will believe it, so they say it.

It's a new kind of ammo that has dangerous cell phone attachment options.
