I'm so glad you keep giving this thread a bump.

With a title like, "Just how intelligent are Trump supporters?" I don't know how insulting a group doesn't violate forum rules. I'll keep reporting it an see what happens.

Kim jong Un returned from his summit with the Russian dictator, Vladimir Putin, to fire off a series of short-range projectiles last night. Trump responded in the usual way that he always responds to autocratic strong men and allies of Putin. He said that Kim will act in America's best interest.

Anything in this very interesting world is possible, but I believe that Kim Jong Un fully realizes the great economic potential of North Korea, & will do nothing to interfere or end it. He also knows that I am with him & does not want to break his promise to me. Deal will happen!

Trump is not a well man. He lives in his own little world.

Because Trump's fans are providing an answer to that question?

The title is condescending and insulting and is against Forum rules. The whole thread should be deleted.

I am pretty sure that is a common affliction among many. Especially those that cannot commit and answer simple questions like who would you choose for POTUS.

I told you. The title is directly related to the OP that described the crowd reaction to a Trump statement that foretold of economic doom. Trump's idea was so bad it turned out to be just an empty threat, but his adoring admirers thought it was a great idea. Read the OP.

I have told you this already a few times. What seems to be your problem? Quit your whining. You are embarrassing yourself.

I read the OP but the Title of this thread doesn't address crowd reaction, it calls into question the intelligence of Trump supporters. That is demeaning and an insult to a group which is against forum rules. If such a thread title were created addressing Democrats in the same manner, it would be deleted and rightfully so.

You are just flame baiting people by questioning Trump supporters' intelligence.

If you're OP is truly about crowd reaction, then say that in the title. "Crowd reacts positively to Trump border shutdown threat."

You are so used to casually making ad hominem attacks and other logic fallacies that it is second nature to you and lack the self awareness to see what you are doing even when it is pointed out due to your extreme bias.

I think it is more fun watching the OP run from the question, who would he/she/alphabet support for president in 2020? His/her/alphabets continual dodge kind of answers the intelligence question don't you think?

For 10 months, China has been paying Tariffs to the USA of 25% on 50 Billion Dollars of High Tech, and 10% on 200 Billion Dollars of other goods. These payments are partially responsible for our great economic results. The 10% will go up to 25% on Friday.

    9:08 AM - May 5, 2019

"Trump, despite repeated claims by the White House that trade talks with Beijing were progressing, announced Sunday on Twitter that tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese goods will increase next week to 25% from 10%.

"He also threatened that the U.S. will impose 25% tariffs on another $325 billion of Chinese goods, just days after Vice President Mike Pence told CNBC that Trump was hopeful he could hammer out a deal with China.

"At last check, futures on the Dow YMM9, -1.58% were off by nearly 400 points, or 1.4%, while gold GCM9, +0.32% was moving higher."

Well you're probably not a businessman who knows a little bit about positioning before a negotiation.

I can't think of anything more stupid than going in weak and without any leverage.

On the heels of the Helsinki summit where the imperial President bowed to the Russian dictator, Trump did it again today.

At Helsinki, Trump, in a stunning rebuke of the US intelligence community, declined to endorse the US government's assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election, saying he doesn't "see any reason why" Russia would be responsible.

"I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today," Trump said during a joint news conference on July 16, 2018. The world was literally stunned by the President's remark.

Trump said he and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the end of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election during a lengthy phone call Friday but said he did not raise concerns about the possibility of Russian interference to come in the 2020 contest.

Mueller found that Russia interfered in our 2016 election “in sweeping and systematic fashion.”

When asked repeatedly whether he raised the issue of election interference or warned Putin not to do it again, Trump said, “We didn’t discuss that. Really, we didn’t discuss it.”

Coming from the President of the United States, that statement is truly remarkable.

So is this. when discussing the alleged criminal conspiracy between Russia and Trump’s campaign, the two imperial leaders actually joked about it.

“We discussed it. He actually sort of smiled when he said something to the effect that it started off as a mountain and it ended up being a mouse,” Trump said. “But he knew that, because he knew there was no collusion whatsoever.”

The two leaders could not see each other during the call.

Many strongly suspect that Trump is being extorted by the Russian leader. That would explain his fear of Putin. It would also explain Trump's meek and docile approach to the Russian dictator.

A new satellite image shows the smoke trail of a Friday rocket launch by North Korea that is likely a short-range missile, according to the group that analyzed the picture.

"The location of the launch, the thick, smoky appearance of the exhaust and the fact that there is only one rocket trail all suggest this was the short-range ballistic missile that North Korea showed in its propaganda," said Jeffrey Lewis, director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program at the Middlebury Institute.

Simple answer, just as intelligent as Hilary supporters, the fact that you'd ask that question justifies them voting for Trump

Great, the market is off but not nearly as much as I thought it would be, although there are a few hours left.

Due to Trump's incredibly stupid tweet threatening 25% tariff on $525B worth of Chinese goods, why aren't stocks taking a deeper plunge? The answer is quite simple. Wall Street is largely ignoring Trump. Similar to his threats to launch fire and fury against North Korea, cause another government closure in February, and closing the southern border, Wall Street is convinced this is just another empty threat from Trump. Wall Street has learned. Trump is different from other Presidents. He is a pathological liar. and he has issued countless meaningless threats.

CNBC put it diplomatically. Trump is our President, after all, and respect for the office is a necessity despite Trump. "President Donald Trump’s threats to slap more tariffs on China are being viewed as a bargaining tactic, and analysts say the most likely outcome is still a deal over an all-out trade war."

Let's hope for the best. A 25% tariff on $525B of Chinese goods would be disastrous for our economy. Is Trump that stupid?

Trump tweeted, "325 Billions Dollars of additional goods sent to us by China remain untaxed, but will be shortly, at a rate of 25%. The Tariffs paid to the USA have had little impact on product cost, mostly borne by China."

Trump is suggesting that a 25% tariff will be borne by China. Nothing could be more ridiculous. This statement that can only be believed by his base, although it is so ludicrous, many of them will reject the idea.

If Trump is foolish enough to impose a 25% tariff on Chinese goods, it is not the Chinese who will pay for it. The end result will be that the American consumer will pay for the tariffs.

    Is Trump really that stupid?

Mueller found that Russia interfered in our 2016 election “in sweeping and systematic fashion.” When asked repeatedly whether he raised the issue of election interference or warned Putin not to do it again, Trump said, “We didn’t discuss that. Really, we didn’t discuss it.”

Kim jong Un returned from his summit with the Russian dictator, Vladimir Putin, to fire off a series of short-range ballistic missiles that threaten our 27,500 troops near Seoul. Trump tweeted, "He also knows that I am with him & does not want to break his promise to me. Deal will happen!"

Mueller is likely to appear before Congress next week to clarify the misleading statements made by William Barr.

Trump's former personal attorney began a three-year prison sentence today.

On Wednesday, Trump's A.G. will be found in contempt of Congress.

Today, Trump's Sec'y of the Treasury, Steven Mnuchin violated U.S. law by not providing Trump's taxes to the House Ways and Means Committee.

Trump's approach to these crises? Create more controversy. That has been his pattern for 28 months.

On Sunday, Trump threatened to impose a 25% tariff on $525B worth of Chinese goods. The only reason the stock market didn't tank is that Wall Street didn't believe him. It was just another Trump meaningless threat.

Today, our esteemed Commander-in-Chief deployed our fleet based on what Israel said. More specifically, what Mossad said. Trump deems foreign leaders and foreign intelligence more credible than American intelligence. Remember Helsinki.

Trump has moved closer to a military conflict with Iran than at any time in his presidency, redirecting warships to the Middle East to respond to "heightened Iranian threats to U.S. troops and facilities," according to Israel. The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier led a carrier strike group toward the region based on the Israeli information.

The situation has escalated swiftly since Trump designated Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization last month. According to Trump, Iran's military force is on par with Hamas, Al Qaeda, and ISIS.

Information about possible Iranian plots against the U.S. or its allies in the Gulf were raised two weeks ago in talks held at the White House between an Israeli delegation headed by national security adviser Meir Ben Shabbat and a U.S. team led by John Bolton, who made the announcement Sunday.

Trump has done exactly what the Israeli delegation intended. Thank you, Mr. President.

Of course, the intelligence about a possible Iranian plot is vague at this stage, but the Israeli officials said it was clear the threat was against a U.S. target in the Gulf or U.S. allies like Saudi Arabia or the UAE or Egypt or Morocco or Canada.

Hey, I added Canada just for laughs. The point being, Trump is deploying our military based on a foreign entity with an obvious agenda.

It is my belief when Democrats call out Liberals, they mean me. I voted for Trump. I want to disband most of the laws put on the books by Democrats. Liberals simply reject all those Democrats imposed laws.
