Of course. Every President should investigate corrupt government officials like Biden. It's part of the job to investigate government crooks.
Trump was elected to drain the swamp.

The Bidens should have been brought before a grand jury years ago.

 

It's not complicated.
The House will impeach Trump.
They will extract a price from each Senate member that votes against it.
To do that they need to make sure the voters understand Trump is a crook.
Trump is in the middle of a slow motion train wreck and so are the Republicans in congress.

 

Then Trump is going to be impeached for soliciting something of value from a foreign gov't.
Trump might have made your Boy Scout argument had he done this before Biden was his Presidential challenger.

 

Presidents will never be impeached for exercising their Article 2 powers.

 

So, when this episode of DP/RINO slander blows up in the "opposition's" face can we all agree that everyone responsible should have to explain their actions in detail to a grand jury?
