The ' trial ' and its result are an absolute disgrace to the US of AIPAC military. There should be an independent investigation of all those involved in cooking up this ' verdict '. Their previous records in this area should also be scrutinized .

The Iraqis should demand the closure of the US embassy in the - still heavily fortified - Green Zone and its re-establishment somewhere more suited to the reputation of the ambassadors within. A refuse tip beneath an effluent outlet would the suggestion of the VAST MAJORITY of observers of this criminal farce.

Another example of fine, American, 'justice'. What a joke-and there are some on this forum already leaping to his defence and claiming that because he plea-bargained his way to a misdemeanour charge, it thus proves that he was only guilty of that 'misdemeanour'. 'Extenuating circumstances' my arse.
He should be starting a life sentence. Then again there's ample precedent for this kind of idiocy from America-William Calley, court martialled for the My Lai massacre, got away with a whole three and a half years' house arrest!
WTF is the matter with you people?

Aww, have a heart-remember none of us have been in a stressful combat situation, and thus have no idea of what was going through this poor, traumatised Marine's mind...
I'm sure his conduct was entirely out of character and excusable. Perhaps he should get a Purple Heart for brain damage?

I wouldn't fancy their chances, the Iraqi government is executing 600 people a year, they executed 34 in one day and that doesn't count all those they don't bother giving a trial.

The US just took over where Saddam left off

they are no better than Saddam and his gang and in fact when you read these things you might even say worse than Saddam

you something is bad when people would rather have Saddam than the US saviours

War's over, get over it. We're no longer there and a bunch of jihadist loving scumbags can suck on sand. If you don't like it I'm sure Al Qaeda is looking for a few good men. As far as I'm concerned perhaps we weren't brutal enough.

If the world is going to hate us anyway, we should've just outright conquered them and made them into a US territory by force.

Got anything worthwhile to say? Anything at all?

The war was over when we hanged scumbag Nazis but, hey, we should have simply said 'get over it'. Right, genius?
