Justifying Use of Force: "OWS Is the Worst Most Horrible Thing EVER!"

They got blasted in the face with pepper spray because they were blocking a roadway thoroughfare and refused to move. I applaud the police for getting rid of the termites using the only language that the OWS pests know how to respond to: FORCE.

 

Uh, nope. Failed right-wing conservative fiscal disasters are the root cause of everything that is wrong in both America and Europe. And guess where it all began-the same place as in 1929.

Oh, and since when has America had any image to be remotely proud of?

 

If it wasn't for the United States, you'd be speaking German right now. And if you are a Jew, you would not even be here right now if it wasn't for us.

 

I just love how you Americans revel in your hypocrisy. The students are exercising their Constitutional right to peaceful protest. For you to glibly endorse police brutality says it all. What next-shoot them? Would that be acceptable to you?

 

I would disagree with that whole heartedly.

Reagan was given inside information that was leaked by the CIA during the Iran Hostage crisis, and according to some reports was even able to bargain with the Iranians to delay the release of the hostages until after he was elected.

The CIA and FBI do not always do exactly what the CnC asks them to do when they disagree with said CnC. I call that treason.

This is yet another reason having any type of secret police that is not wholly accountable to someone somewhere is a bad idea. I personally have felt that 9/11 was used as a big excuse to boost CIA and FBI powers when it wasn't needed.

What was needed was just paying better attention to what was being reported. There were tell tale signs prior to that disaster that went overlooked. I tend to think that if there was any kind of inside job that led to 9/11, it could be that the CIA and FBI semi intentionally ignored the signs leading up to 9/11 hoping it would be something they could use to boost their own powers. I'd lay wagers that it turned out far worse than they could have expected though. They were probably expecting hijackings, not wholesale crashing of planes into buildings.

If anything, a ton of heads at the CIA and FBI should have went rolling. I'd have been tempted to scrap both organizations and start over.

 

Oh please, I've heard that dumb cliche a million times. Furthermore it was the Russians who did more to defeat Germany and Nazism, who sacrificed more in terms of lives and infrastructure, than you Johnny-come-latelies could only ever dream about. But, hey, keep dreaming the Hollywood dream-it's the only thing you've got.

 

If they put up a gunfight, then hell yeah, shoot 'em! The bottom line is that these kids were obstructing traffic and refused to move, so they were moved by the police using non-lethal force. Pepper spray, aside from its stinging effects, is virtually harmless to the human body. This was the most humane way to get rid of the vermin. They were blocking traffic, after all. Most real human beings have to go to work, you know.

 

I doubt anyone would want to work for you with your dismissive, holier-than-thou attitude.

Read your history again. Not only the United Kingdom, but also RUSSIA, France, China, and other Allied nations owe much to the United States for bailing them out of being conquered by the Axis Powers via the Lend-Lease Act.

They were not breaking any laws and were exercising their constitutional rights to peaceful protest. The police were abusing those rights. 'Vermin' are what I would describe the police as in this case-not to mention those who would support, endorse and encourage police brutality.

Obstructing traffic is a crime. Resisting arrest is a crime. Disorderly conduct is a crime. You would know this if you lived in our country, but you don't. Why do you feel that you even have a leg to stand on in this argument, Brit?

Do you support pepper-spraying immobile protestors in order to get someone in the crowd to react on their behalf?

Would people here support a website dedicated to tracking the actions of the police, the "committees" charged with their lengthy [let's hope this disappears] investigation into the matter? I think that would be an excellent way for the OWS to keep a laser beam on the police's behavior, mayors behavior and all the rest of the 1% and their hired thugs. Let each and every single individual cop know that if he screws up, his name and his behavior will be under the keenest of public scrutiny. Forget the handpicked committees of the 1% charged with scrutinizing police behavior behind closed doors, while that story sinks under new ones... We pay their salaries, ergo We are their employers. We have a duty to keep a close watch on our employees to ensure that Our business of democracy isn't sabotaged.

Our employees are supposed to keep us in line when we cross it...not when we are sitting immobile in Constitutionally-guaranteed peaceful protest, to spray Us in the eyes with pepper spray because our protest is inconvenient to some..

I googled what the status was on the Olsen incident and what discipline or results happened on behalf of the assault on Olsen by Oakland police. No updates. Does anyone have any?

 

Our young people used to have part time jobs in college that illegals now make a career out of.

 

I don't hate *********s. Liberals can't help it. They go off their meds and we see what happens.

Tea Party supporters did not have conflicts with the police, did not crap in the street or on flags, did not rape other Tea Party supporters, did not close down small businesses, did not break windows, did not stop people from going to work or coming home, did not try to shut down ports and deny working people jobs. No, they practiced their free speech by speaking--usually logcally and coherently--and then went home.

I think the juvenile delinquents at the protest should be grateful to the police for giving them their moment of glory.

Years from now they can tell the grandkids how they battled the police with only their bare hands against clubs, horses and guns, and how their blood turned the snow red beneath their feet.

These spoiled rich kids wanted some attention and they got it.
