No. It absolutely is not because of gender. It's because of the likelihood of getting in a wreck. The insurance company doesn't care at all about gender.

Here's how simple this is. If females were more likely to get in a wreck, would they charge more for female drivers? If you think they would, then you agree with me that it's not gender discrimination. If it were gender discrimination it wouldn't matter, they'd still charge more for males.

if a women goes to buy the same policy and a man and one gets one rate and the other gets another rate based on their gender (same driving history) .... then yes, it's 100% based on their gender

If you read the actual proposal it talks about income and residence, race isn't mentioned.

The idea would give black families a shot at homeownership but the quote nowhere says it would ONLY give blacks the benefits. You are putting that in yourself

It is a racist policy by her own words period

""So we must right the wrong and -- after generations of discrimination -- give black families a real shot at homeownership -- historically one of the most powerful drivers of wealth," Harris said in a speech Saturday

Those you speak of getting an insurance policy are at that bottom of the scale while the vast majority, who you ignore, saw hugely increased premiums and deductibles and coverage and yet you claim it a success.

Get rid of patents get rid of new drug research and development.

What more doctors, where are they going to come from people won't go into the field and I'll take my FDA approved drugs not those from Chiba or Russia. How about we force other countries to protect the intellectual properties and pay their fair share of drug cost?

Because crime runs businesses out and with it jobs and with it property values. This the second this week. Until you get rid of the crime and the criminal animals who engage in it..........

Again, read what is actually being proposed and stop putting your own spin on it. "Reverse Racism" is a silly idea anyway and identifies you as one of the alt. right.

You're full of it. I'm not ignoring "the vast majority," just not endorsing your apparent wish to solve your issue by screwing over millions of Americans now covered by Obamacare. In fact, I suggested what I think we should be doing.
I didn't say we should get rid of patents. You asked how the drug companies get away with charging Americans ten times more than Canadians for insulin. I told you: patents. We should reform how our patents work.
There are plenty of applicants for medical school. If we train more doctors, supply-and-demand in the labor market will reduce their overly high salaries caused by a doctor shortage.
Absurd. Do you think the insulin in Canada is made in Russia?
Uh huh. The last time we tried to pull that one on Canada, they went even further to make drugs less expensive. What's your plan? We just negotiated a trade deal with Canada where they strengthened patent protections. You want us to welsh on the deal before the ink is dry?

Nope you are completely ignoring the exponential numbers who had the premiums soar, the deductibles soar, their copays soar and the coverage weakened and calling it a success because an alledged 30M got an insurance policy.

Reform how, they are why we have such medicines and more in the works. How about Europe and other countries reform how they disregard patents and threaten our drug companies with ignoring them if they do not supply drugs at a loss?

There won't be under your plan.

Do you not think Russian drugs were supplied through Canada, tell my brother when he tried the buy through Canada and they came from all sorts of places.

Yea that's a start and not just Canada.

Sure, banks (and other lenders) redline because of the risk. As I said, I don't know how to fix the problem short of cleaning up crime in those communities.

The problem for the left is that middle class whites (both liberals and conservatives) will always self select. Low crime is non-negotiable as is a 70% white neighborhood, pass either of those thresholds and white flight ensues, they have multiple scientific papers on this phenomenon. Until the left is able to remove the freedom of association clause in the Constitution, they will never crack this nut. NOTE: I fully expect them to reach the point where they force whites against their wills to live in majority minority communities, it is not a question of if, only a question of when.

And everybody's life insurance premium should be the same whether 25 or 75. Age discrimination, right?

And the bank can't do that and the government shouldn't be in the business of forcing the bank to violate the banks fiduciary duty to protect the deposits of it's customers.

Well it is discriminating in who it applies to, you are correct.

But to use the terms "discriminatory" and "racist" is to imply it's done with some sort of malicious intent to non-blacks.

A little history, blacks were once, believe it or not, enslaved in this country. And then, as if that wasn't an insult enough, they were actually discriminated against when it came to things like voting and owning property.

Now, I know we can't always right the wrongs of the past, but when you consider how much white families in the south benefited economically from slavery and then combine that ill begotten gain with northern racism (the city of Chicago for example), the US has done a major disservice to African American wealth building. It isn't that we didn't hand out money, we DENIED them equal opportunity for so many years it's harmed them a whole.

So to sum up, you are wrong, it's easily provable, and I wouldn't really worry about arguing this until if or when Kamala wins the nomination and if or when she gets elected president.

Your sources include a lot of political BS. As I said, no one is doing enough.

Rather than pretend to restore low skill, high wage factory jobs, we should train workers for high skill, high wage employment.

    LoL sure they do.

That's why wages are going up for the first time in forever, and the largest increases are for the lowest wage earners.

    Baloney.

What has damaged this country the most is the loss of semi-skilled manufacturing jobs as an entry to the middle class.

Something Trump found the magic wand for.

    China is losing.

Total BS. Premiums increased for healthy, better off folks to cover the cost on adding poor, unhealthy people to those getting care. Obamacare opponents in many cases wanted this to happen because they didn't want to increase taxes on rich people (you know, folks making $250k+). They also didn't want the reforms that would bring our costs into line.
Don't let them jack up prices on existing drugs. Shorten the patent period. Stop them from slightly altering the formulation and getting a new patent.
These are international companies, not "our drug companies." They could care less about you or this country. They're not going out of business if we refuse to pay more than everyone else.
You really think enough people won't continuing applying to enter med school? Egads.
Most Canadians don't use those suppliers.
You must think we can bully everyone. The EU and China have economies larger than ours.

I don't find his demeanor worthy of imitation and don't understand why you do. Also, I don't understand the bias based on skin color. Maybe you should pay reparations so we can have more orange homeowners!
