If there is just the one person claiming wrong doing that isn't enough for me to want to derail his career. If more come out of the wood work then I'll start to have my doubts.

Ellison's former wife openly stated there never was any abuse. Her three children were by her side when she said this. Recall that in the past, Ellison's former girl friend said she could rely on one of them to testify against Ellison and that he had videos to prove violence - videos that miraculously "disappeared" for the very simple reason that they never existed.

Oh by the way, this series of right wing attacks on Ellison have taken a toll on Ellison's former wife who suffers from depression - her history of medical problems are now on open display and it is tormenting her. For those of you who have been celebrating this news about Ellison, your real victim has been his former wife.

 

We'll see when the papers are unsealed.

 

Change Ellison's name to Kavanaugh and his former wife's name to Ford and the entire mentality of the situation changes to 'we don't need no stinking proof' and Ford gets outed against her will, abused and thrown to the curb.

Watching how the left reacts to Kav's and Ellison's situations is the perfect example of liberal hypocrisy and double standards.

Embattled Democrat Rep. Keith Ellison’s lead in the Minnesota Attorney General election appears to be vanishing amid allegations of domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend.

The congressman’s bid to become the top law enforcement official in the blue state was supposed to be an easy task for a popular Democrat who holds one of the top positions within the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

But Ellison’s lead has taken a dramatic cut since Karen Monahan came forward with her story in August detailing the physical and emotional abuse she suffered allegedly at the hands of Ellison.

In one particular incident, Ellison allegedly dragged her from a bed and shouted “F--- you, b---“ and “I hate you.” She also released a 2017 medical document in which she identified the congressman as the cause of her “emotional and physical abuse.”

thus, we await a conclusive report and remember as you Republicans say when convenient, innocent until proven guilty

Anyone running for State AG should not have these kinds of complaints, accusations or allegations against them. I hope that the investigation continues. And if his name cannot be cleared prior to the election, he should drop out. I do find it rather weak that he suggests he doesn't know how many other people might be out there trying to level accusations...sounds like covering his bases in advance.

 

I suppose you mean to apply your standards to those running for president as well.
