Wind mills kill some bald eagles. Thats a shame, but coal pollution making the lakes around my home too poisonous to safely fish out of (unless you like your catfish lined with mercury)? Thats what I call a tragedy. Pretty much every lake in Southern Illinois is like that.

What I know wont happen in return is any credible evidence that the earth will be X temperature in Y amount of years. But that is where the resources will go, while we do nothing useful for managing the resources we can actually preserve.

Another case is the Keystone pipeline. The left says "no pipeline! we want more barged oil. Shipping it is much safer and conserves the resource. Gravity is so old school!". They dont say it outright like that, but that is what they are saying.

 

Some great technologies have emerged like cleaning and recycling freeon gases and recycling POPS... Both are good for the environment and save industry billions.

 

Oil is not destroying the earth. Republican states are among the cleanest, and have the most wildlife resources. Ever since you libbies got Central Park you think you are outdoorsmen. Go manage your pigeons, leave blue herons to Florida.

Not these days. But I know what you are talking about. Democrats put them all over northern Florida and we had those issues fishing in natural lakes.

Yeah, Democrats put them all over have tons of pollution and thumb their nose at others who are trying to get more nuke, but they block it. The fishing around nuke plants is excellent by the way. The left has no moral claim to ecology, just because we dont believe spending ourselves into poverty is the way to go. Fracking advancements have reduces emissions more then the Kyoto treaty anyway.

 

Fracking is one of those things that could be good, but from everything I have seen, there are some massive oversight issues in a lot of area's where its done. I don't buy the whole "it will cause earthquakes!" argument, but the ground water situation definitely deserves a second look.

I am actually a fan of nuclear energy. And those against it are a pretty mixed bag of both democrats and republicans. I really hope Harry Reid eventually gets over his brain deficiency and quits making a fuss about Yucca Mountain.

Also, what is your opinion on the whole mountain top removal mining? I feel it goes too far. It definitely increases American coal output, but I don't think its worth destroying the Appalachians.

Why BUNA was invented. One need not tolerate the corrosive effects of alchohol, and most people are not at "high-level" engine anything, yet ethanol is in much of their fuel.

There is also other problems in this issue. No one mentioned the hundreds of thousands of other bird species that are being destroyed to also include bats. Wind generated machines are destroying the ecology en masse.

 

It also doesn't mean the earth is dying. As we go we find out leaded gasoline is unsafe etc...but no need to believe in the global warming prophesy.
