Every American should meet the people they are killing. The US Pentagon's sole objective is continued funding and existence for itself. It will accomplish this through the fomentation and construct of perpetual war.

    We are not killing anybody.

Washington is being occupied by illegitimate thugs and crimnals.

Also known as lobbyists. It's a case of thieves worrying about somebody stealing from them once again.

When we can flush the system of corrupt corporate cash controlling everything, the thugs will be effectively disarmed. Instead though, what we have is already too cancerous to retrieve. Thugs and criminals are all that's left.

I ran the figures and they simply do not add up. When tabulating Soviet-Afghan war death the US included civillians killed INDIRECTLY from conflict, e.g. displacement, infrastructure, etc. but when it comes to itself the US changed its reporting rules so that all military age men are listed as combatants, and they don't even consider indirect kills.

We simply cannot trust the United States to be honest when it is so provably fraudulent.

    http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2011/06/afghanistan-iraq-wars-killed-132000-civilians-report-says/

But even by the US's own admission, 132,000 civillians lost their lives directly in official conflict. However the US only counts direct violence that killed civilians — bombings, gunshot wounds, missile strikes, whatever. It doesn’t include indirect deaths, as occur when war creates refugees that can’t find food, clean water or adequate medical care. Nor does it include the lost limbs and emotional suffering that are a part of every war. Nor does it attempt to count civilian deaths in clandestine conflicts like Yemen or Somalia which are not legally part of the Congressionally-authorized conflict.

I know... I apologize for suggesting the US people have any representation in the US Government. I know it to not be the case.

Well, I'm not letting us off that easy. Where is any sort of protest? Egypt can protest a government that will literally kill them for protesting, and we can barely get off our asses to tweet angrily about the murders. We just don't get it, because frankly it's not in our interest to get it. If we got it we'd have to give up our empire and our control of the world. So more people will die.

"...all military age men are listed as combatants..."

    Taxcutter says:
The enemy does not wear uniforms so everybody becomes a combatant, just like in Nazi Germany and Japan 1944-45.

Its war, people. Not law enforcement. The enemy says its war, so war it is. War should be waged ruthlessly as Andrew Jackson of FDR would have done it.

Well my friend. You are attempting to give a reason for why Americans don't protest more?

You suggest each person secretly believes countering the policy is unwise because it would decrease the US hegemony?

You are part of that population, no? Is your own lack of protest because you secretly wish to preserve the US hegemony?

Not everyone else will have that reason. They will hav a reason, surely, but not that one. Nor is it a good reason for a person to stop protesting. Nor is the US hegemony in the persons' interest as the hegemony benefits slave masters but not slaves.

Hundreds of thousands of civilians died during the ten year Soviet/Afghan war. You're the last person on this board who should be pointing fingers at the U.S.

Who was party to that conflict? The USA. Let's divide it in 1/4 (for each actor). Those figures cite INDIRECT CIVILLIAN KILLS, the maximum possible number totaling all civillian death, and puts the blame solely on Russia.

Now let's examine today. The US only reports direct civillian kills, and doesn't include ones killed by other parties or from the indirect consequences of the conflict.

Do you agree that we should somehow objectively do apples-to-apples comparison and see who truly killed more civillians, or SHOULD WE MOVE ONWARD and think about the civillians killed today! Tomorrow! What about them!

We cannot travel to the past my friend. We cannot jump in a time machine no matter how hard I've tried and prevent atrocities from these nations. Today the best we can do is oppose atrocities from YOUR nation! Maybe from Iran and North Korea also.

Killing is as much a part of human behavior, and as inseparable, as eating, sleeping, defecating, micturating, and fornicating. Some members of the species get reproductively confused and errantly head for the wrong opening on the wrong gender, but nature, fortunately, won't allow that same defect to be committed twice by letting it be passed on to a subsequent generation.
When Jane Goodall came back from her many year study of Chimp behavior in Kenya's Gombe Reserve her findings were greeted with derision by the scientific community and the rest of the illuminati.

"These findings can't be correct because you have no scientific education!"

"These findings can't be correct because you have no scientific credentials"

"These findings can't be correct because if man's closest living relative in the wild is inherently warlike, then (Gasp!) man must be as well! Quickly, we have to find a rug to sweep this under!"

Are Afghans less intelligent than Iraqis?

In 2005-06, Iraqis figured out that the Americans tended to go wherever the Saddam cronies and al qaeda went. The local sheikhs had their tribes drive the Saddam men and al qaeda scum away and... Shazam! The Americans quit bombing and shelling them.

All the Afghans have to do is drive the Taliban types out of their villages and the drones will go elsewher.

Okay marshie 1st the pentagon does not start wars, it merely endeavors to finish them once the civilians who run things decide to fight them. Hell they don't even set the rules of engagement. That's up to the civlians as well. Our troops generally don't fire until fired upon. If Joe Taliban brings his kid along to watch the action and the kid gets killed in the crossfire it isn't out fault that Joe Taliban is a moron

2nd The Soviet bastards made bombs disquised as toys. You can't get any slimier than that. We try to avoid killing civilians. We don't always succeed. Neither the Taliban nor the Soviets had any such scruples. In fact they did so as a matter of policy.

"...a student. A farmer. Why do you murder me in name of terrorist?"

Because you support terrorists. Just like factory workers in Nazi Germany supported the SS.

every once in a while one of these gems of conversation pops up. An admission that the people of a country bear the responsibility for it's country's military.

And then we have the US Military on the Arabian peninsula who are there for the spring's cabbage crop, if not oil, and the destruction of the WTC on 911.

Which begs the question, did those who died in the WTC attacks have it coming?

Isn't it funny that Liberals see "NATO Troops", and automatically thank US troops. I guess you have forgotten that over 40 nations participating in operations in Afghanistan. As a matter of fact, one of the Nations with troops serving there is Australia. It was Australian troops that killed the two boys when they mistook them for insurgents. They were not killed by US troops.

It is very sad that Liberals have to slant the facts to make a misguided point.

Who came first the Terrorist or the Tyrannist?

Let's not forget who invaded who. The American Shaw puppet government predates the Iranian revolution. The American restructuring of Saudi Arabia predates the Bin Laden retaliation.

By your own logical comparison the US are the Nazis.

Whether or not you agree with the terrorists' methods, and WE DON'T, nobody does... But they are RETALIATING, and the US Pentagon Parasite squeals with pleasure every time it is asked to fight war.

What is this war if you really think about it... How absurd is this conflict. The US responds with the behaviour that creates terrorism, and the terrorists respond with the behaviour which creates tyranny. What's the point really. The US Pentagon squeals with pleasure every time it foments idiotic legitimacy for itself.
