    It appears there is no global super rich the Democratic Party now does not worship and serves under the notion of "screw working people, the rich have the political money!"

    But that is predictable given the American Democratic Party has become the Corporate Fascist Party for which Hitler wasn't so evil after all, but instead increasingly is the Democratic Party's hero.

    I know an old man who was a German soldier in WWII, and who grew up as a Hitler Youth. He was one of the first to point out some similarities between Germany then and the US today. He's an American citizen now, and very proud of it. His greatest fear is that the media (social, entertainment, and news) will have the same effect on us today.
    I see many differences, but at some level, I share his fear. Particularly troubling is the fanatical loyalty Trump's base has for him. And the more people criticize Trump, the more his base seems to support him.

    The average working class people tend to believe that the Democratic party has moved on to become the elitist party. In many ways, that's true. I believe that fueled a lot of hatred, and all it took was for people like Trump and his team to come along with a list of scapegoats for the people to direct that hatred toward. Once politicians saw how easily Trump could rally his base, they surrendered to him for the sake of re-election. That irony and hypocrisy certainly wasn't something the Koch's were able to ignore. Who knows how it will go for them in the next few years. Although I'm ecstatic that they're not surrendering their principles to Trump, I don't buy into many of those principles.

    So many people love that Trump presents himself as a no-nonsense kind of person. They want that take-control kind of person running things. In my mind, that no-nonsense and take-control personality is polluted by Trump's ignorance and hubris, which is the classic cause of falling from high places. We now seem to think of our government as being run by a president, and have little interest in maintaining the checks and balances of our government.

    Naturally you would brush it off as no big deal.

    Guess $400 mill a year and the guys who orchestrated the republican wave at the state level are inconsequential so losing them as allies and gaining them as active opponents of trumpian candidates in the field is nothing to worry about.

    The notion that Trumpian bullshit will prevail even as it is exposed for what it is, is nothing more than an autoerotic fascist wet dream.

    More like it's great to see two enemies fighting so they'll weaken each other. Yes you do illustrate the perception that helps explain Trump's political existence, but the fact of the matter is that Trump has passed tax cuts that benefit primarily the rich, and wants to reduce the tax burden of rich people still further despite increasing debt. I have to admit, his ability to inspire widespread delusion is breathtaking.

    I don't think he has a whole lot of money any more, this is the real reason he won't release his tax returns. The idea that he is covering up wrongdoing is absurd, nobody puts illegitimate things on their tax returns. He's got half a bill, tops if you go by what were his real assets and his actual sources of revenue just a few years ago. If this became known his base would melt away quicker than if he suddenly went for open borders. His being a multi-billionaire is a necessary part of his brand, part of his mystique

    I understand the Democratic Party now worships and fully serves the super rich, so to you the greatest attack against Trump would be that he's not really wealthy - while in other messages you will be ranting about how rich he's getting via misuse of the presidency. Raw hatred is never rational nor consistent - just endless declarations of hatred, whatever comes to mind.

    I see it as just another of his ongoing lies. As a Trumper you see his lies as admirable, more "sticking it to the man" or something, but I am addressing my posts to that part of the board that is not being totally seduced by a second rate con man because he hates the right people.
