There is plenty of anger there to study.

Why is it that just because one university puts out a catchy name for a class do white people require it to happen for all other races in order for it to be "fair?" I find that thinking, frankly, like how my toddler think of fairness. Also, no one said it had to be fair. And any other university is free to study angry black men or any other minority's angry males. This ONE class doesn't exclude the rest of them.

And because the anger white men are displaying, frankly, is poorly understood. The proof is the 2016 election where white, working class males voted by a razor thin electoral margin to hand the White House to a person who doesn't represent their interests. The notion that non-whites from Mexico are the reason for their falling wages is wrong. It's people like Trump who are responsible. And yet, they voted for him against logical reason. So that begs studying frankly. Once it's understood, public policy can be better crafted to ensure that Americans as a whole are being made to feel engaged by the country and the economy. It's a GOOD thing it's being studied.

I'm not sure why you see it as a negative. If you are an angry white man, you should want your motives understood by academia. They help drive public policy and that can be used to solve some of the problems that are making you angry.
