Lab evidence for possible way we evolved

    Many times the anti-science crowd attack evolution because they say single cells have never proved that they could become multicellular organism. However a new published paper shows how it might happen. Evolution, the fact we need to keep studying because it is really amazing.

    Dunno what the big deal is here, since Dictyostelium discoideum et al have been known to be forming multicellular colonies outside the lab for decades. What's missing, AFAIK, is any evidence of cell differentiation that carries over from one generation to the next, which obviously would have to happen for unicellular orgnanisms to evolve into life forms with organs.
