The KKK promoted themselves as a White, Christian, Family Organization for real Americans. During the 1920's through the 40's they endorsed pols, sponsered parades etc. while boasting over 5 million members nation wide. They made claims to being the "real" Americans. When their more radical racsist agenda became widely known, many folks abandoned the orginization. I would say that while the KKK stood up for (in their eyes) the American flag, I'd say that the hood & cross are their symbols. While the *********s are standing (again in their eyes) up for the American flag & the real Amricans against the others, that they have adopted the Gadsden flag as a symbol.

Timmy McViegh ring a bell? He was pulled over because he refused to put licence plates on his car. Because of his Sovereign beliefs. He would have been captured eventually, as he had a drivers licence to rent the truck, used in the bombing. LE has had other deadly confraltations with so called Sovereigns.
