It's commonly known that as people get older, the weaker ones become more paranoid and insecure about life and prefer to have the security of an authoritarian rather than the risks of freedom, so they turn right.
The weak ones who have money just become greedier and prefer anyone who will pander to their desire to throw anyone under the bus who might cost them money.
And the young people who are greedy and paranoid are attracted to the right from early age.
On a side note, it's precious to see how many rabid right-wingers on this forum claim to be reformed leftists or like to trot out similar diatribes from others, as if to prove that they got smarter.
But to me, careening from one extreme to the other indicates that they tend to think with their glands and are easily manipulated by demagogues.

They are an interesting slice of America that you don't hear from often. The founder of the #Walkaway movement, Brandon Straka, is himself homosexual. Personally, I'm always curious to know why people left the left, so I have watched many of those videos. If you're not equally curious, don't watch.

Politically the Left functions as a collective to push pernicious laws and policies onto this nation while also doing its absolute best to destroy anything smacking of tradition and meaningful value systems and this is while their radical factions are gaining more political power and clout. Thinking that it's all -- or even mostly -- about the individual and that thus the collective's accumulative affect on this nation is besides the point? Well there's your problem.
