What are their names? If all five hundred and seventy two thousand names are not noted somewhere, on some form of memorial to be read by others, then they have already been forgotten as individuals, and are remembered as nothing more than pawns to be exploited for political gains. A proposal that is ultimately impossible. So long as individuals are free to remain in society, they can and will find ways to go about ending their own existence, and the existence of others. There is absolutely nothing that can be done to prevent this from happening. Absolutely nothing whatsoever. Therefore there is no point in even trying. The nation of Japan is a prime example of such.
An illegal operation under the helm of Michael Bloomberg, operating far outside of his legal jurisdiction, all without informing local law enforcement of what the goal was, or otherwise cooperating with them. And rather than turn the information over to the ATF for prosecution, Michael Bloomberg held onto the supposedly incriminating evidence to pursue nonbinding lawsuits against the accused. It was nothing more than political theater. Even the state of California cannot force legal firearm owners to be responsible or hold them accountable, as they cannot prevent legally registered firearms from finding their way into the possession of criminal individuals who cannot legally possess them. This is according to the findings of the ATF itself.
The failings and deficiencies on the part of yourself, are not the fault or responsibility of anyone else that is present in the discussion. Nor do said failings and deficiencies serve as a defense or excuse against legitimate criticisms of illegitimate points of argument with no basis in reality.
Registration and UBC serve only one purpose and that is to form a list of guns to be confiscated and anyone who states otherwise it either totally unaware of history or worse desires gun confiscation under the guise of safety.
Really how would that be accomplished, don't just throw meaningless words out unless you can back them with facts, which you have just done again. So repetitive and predictable is the script you are working from, maybe you should order a new one from your anti-gun buddies over at the VPC.
Very often civilians trying to engage in armed resistance are more, not less likely to be murdered in reprisal.
The number of unarmed civilians killed by their own governments for no reason would suggest it is not a viable alternative for attempting survival.
Firearms have existed for a mere five hundred years. How many individuals were killed in the pre-firearm era when swords, axes, and spears were the norm? How many were utterly slaughtered in the span of two millennia? How many murders have occurred going all the way back to the prehistoric times of the existence of the human species? Such is not a legitimate excuse for engaging in factually deficient claims. Even an autistic individual is capable of learning that they are wrong, and changing their position and delivery.
This is all a distraction from how easy it is for a criminal to obtain a gun in the US. Why aren't you more concerned about that? The investigation found that the majority of private sellers at gun shows were willing to sell guns to criminals. Obviously, something is seriously wrong here but your side prefers to keep its head buried in the sand.
Not true according to the DOJ, the so called investigation you are referring to was made up. The DOJ tried to buy guns posing as criminals and was unable to do so, furthermore their attempts where reported to authorities more them once. You need to cease spreading anti-gun propaganda and try telling the truth one in a while.
Even in states with significant firearm-related restrictions in place, such as firearm rationing, firearms licenses, firearms registration, loss or theft reporting requirements, and storage mandates, the criminal element is still easily acquiring firearms within the state that are subject to these restrictions and much more. There is literally no firearm-related restriction that could be implemented in the united states to prevent such. The only way to stop such is to go about permanently incarcerating certain individuals to the appropriate facilities for the duration of their natural lives, so that they cannot pose a risk of harm to anyone. The so-called "investigation" was made up. It did not actually occur, and certainly not in the form it was presented by Michael Bloomberg, who had to engage in illegal activity of his own to go about doing such. Explain the blatant failures of the state of California, with how so many registered firearms wind up in the possession of criminal individuals every single year. If they cannot keep their own firearms out of the possession of criminals, what can any other state do better?
Support for even more gun control laws than the thousands of laws that already exist is quickly evaporating as first time gun buyers are finding out that you really can't buy a gun with the same ease as a gallon of milk. First time gun buyers in some states who voted for waiting periods are shocked to find out that that it means them too as they go home from a local gun store empty handed. These revelations are dawning on first time gun buyers who fear for their own safety after watching criminals being released early, anarchy in the streets, calls for defunding police and numerous "Criminal Enablement" laws being passed. Re: Bogus "Studies", "Investigations" and "surveys" done by gun control groups are a dime a dozen. I've been going to gun shows for decades and know many people who are sellers. Not one of the sellers who include close friends has ever knowingly sold a firearm to a criminal because they don't want guns in the hands of criminals any more than anyone else does. The only thing that is "seriously wrong here" is that the thousands of gun control laws that already exist are not being enforced strongly enough.
Guns don't kill people, people kill people." Well I think the guns help. If you stood there and yelled BANG, I don't think you'd kill too many people.
