My guess will be the hard Right. Trump's a businessman. Business is about negotiation, & solving problems. Taking a hard line stance, will serve nothing. Much like the Obama administration found out after 2 terms.
IMO, outside of not having a completely new piece of legislation on healthcare, ( I predict essentially hardcore amending) The Wall will crumble. I was serious in another post a while ago, when I said I can see more secured crossings springing up, some with toll booths... In order that they be able to offset costs, & see Mexico/Mexicans fund them.
Not necessarily, & even so, I don't see Dems refusing cooperation like the GOP did with Obama... Unless they want larger losses 2 years from now.... Or 4 years from now. EDIT: it requires more of a GOP compromise.
That comment makes no sense. Any democrat that agrees to a GOP bill will risk losing his seat - - - Updated - - - Good luck with that. Lol
To be honest, I see a returning of Blue Dog / Regan Democrats... Trump actually seems to fall more into that category & this last cycle, more moderate Dems voted (R).
Thank God. Obama wasn't much of a negotiator either though. His preferred method of getting things done, was to order it. IMO, had he acted as he promised during his first, but also second term run in particular, so far as being a uniting force, we may have seen a quite different outcome this cycle. Trump on the other hand, only has to negotiate, & get results. Like it or not, he's pretty good @ this, & I'm sure his advisors & cabinet will be capable of providing him with viable product to sell to Congress, & the American people as a whole.
Trump is a uniter? Really? Look he can't bankrupt himself of out of every deal now. He will have to beg the democrats for what he wants....or he will get nothing
I never said he was a uniter. I said he was a good negotiator. To be fair regarding begging Dems for anything, the American people are watching. Should the same Phuckery continue, seeing Dems now blocking, or attempting to block, progress in congress, my money says that if the (R)s don't change the rules...like the (D)s did, the Populous will assist by removing more (D)s in favor of more (R)s.
Well you have a theory. The GOP blocked the democrats and gained seats....the same will happen for the democrats
We shall see. Honestly, it is my hope that the end result will see the birth of at least 2 more political parties, that are viable, & see representatives elected.
you may be talking about congress, but that is not the topic. The topic is the reaction of the liberals to the election and why they think that they retain power. Try to keep to the subject.
To be fair, Obama won the popular vote, so, there would be no realistic expectation for him to do so by the electorate. 2 years into his first term though, showed the reaction to Obama's administration/policies, seeing Congress go red for 6 (soon to be even longer) years.
If the republican majority takes a page from the book of Harry Reid and create a "nuclear" option and disregard the opinion of the other party. It has happened before. And still off of the original subject. Try a little comprehension.
that was the answer, republicans still need democrats, so they still have to have us onboard, they wish they had total control, but they don't
You have to remember that every House member that will be in the next Congress won the 2016 election for their district. Of course they want their views to be legislated upon. That said, they need to be realistic.
