Liberals have settled. They wanted the things that the prettiest girl in class could offer. But they just couldn't see how things would work out with this one, so they settled on the 2nd prettiest. Maybe it was that they just couldn't see how smart the first girl was, and what good intentions she had; maybe they just didn't recognize it; maybe they felt a little inferior and finally after a while, this lack of self-esteem poisoned their own viewpoint of her into a wrong one, -all in a secret defense of their own egos. Who knows? But now they want ALL of us to date girls like her, and leave the prettier girl alone since anyone that beautiful just can't be sincere or good for you. But when the one they settle on cheats on them, maybe goes gay, takes their money, makes them feel even LESS special about themselves, maybe they'll rethink in a clearer, humbler light, and then they'll be sorry they didn't try to attain to the other girl. Liberals can't understand that the prettier girl, Connie S. Ervatism, really DID care about blacks, but didn't want to cripple them with welfare, but actually wanted to help them help themselves. That she WOULD forgive some abortions. That she DIDN'T like to go to war (even though her old uncles and grandfather certainly took plenty of "pocket money" from that war industry). That she didn't hate gays or illegal immigrants or Muslims, she just didn't agree with some of their behavior. But she wanted to love and help them (since after all, her mom and dad had been good Christians). The liberals have settled. They don't REALLY want what Liberalism is going to do to everybody, but they just can't see and believe a better way. Don't settle.
Your metaphor is offensively ridiculous, which I presume was your goal. Ms. Ervatism's professed wonderful qualities don't seem to match up with her actual history.

In the last 100 years....has America become more "conservative" or more "liberal"? in the last FIFTY years....has America become more "conservative" or more "liberal"? It seems it's that Conservative Girl who keeps getting stood up on Saturday nights.
Does that mean if I become a liberal I'll get a girlfriend and won't have to spend my nights alone, crying to sleep?

America is neither left nor right. It is ruled by our shape-changing reptilian overlords. And they have a shortage of food.
Liberalism is all about sour grapes. It reminds me a lot of cartoon super villains. "If I can't have it, no one will!" This is their attitude toward everything. It's very black and white, very all or nothing. They have no concept of exalting someone else's happiness or success. If they're not experiencing it personally, then they have no choice but to hate and try to destroy it. It's like they can't even help themselves. They're just pathological player haters. This is why none of their ideas work either, by the way. Because they all come from a position of taking instead of giving. And prosperity can only come from a place of giving first. It's all about mindset.
Actually. socialism as well as corporatism. And liberalism. And conservatism. And Christianism. And Islamism.
