Yes and part of that despotic nature was dictating what is a wholesome lifestyle to people and banning any perverse lifestyle such as sex outside of marriage.

Perhaps we should exile everyone who broke the law, tell me will you be allowed to stay?
I would have no problem with allowing anyone who was brought here as a child and has contributed positively to this society being allowed to stay. I also believe that convicted felons drug dealers etc. should not.

She talks a good talk, but I don't think a gun control type can be believed anymore. Too often, they use a tragedy and state that there should be "sensible laws" to have prevented it, such as David Hogg was pushing, when either such laws already exist and aren't being enforced, or are not on point to the given tragedy (had the law existed it wouldn't have helped in the given situation). Ultimately, those that push for "sensible" legislation, I think, really mean, confiscation.

 

It's been my experience the ones who want to ban all guns say so. The ones who just want 'sensible' gun laws mean just that.

 

It is because conservatives operate under a greatly flawed ideology and worldview. The only way they can look good is if they trash the side with better ideas and an honest worldview.

In short, as far as I can tell, the primary reason conservatives like to mis_characterize liberals is because that is all they have got.

Is that what this thread is about? Conservatives expressing their less than honest views of liberals.

It is so funny. All day long, day after day conservatives say some of the most dishonest and ignorant things. So much so that if a liberal wants to put conservatives in a bad light, he only has to show what conservatives have been doing and saying.

When a conservatives wants to put liberals in a bad light, he typically resorts to making things up.

 

Its no different in idea, just scale.

 

I have found that those on the liberal side tend to see things in a Utopian way that does not look at consequences of their actions. Conservatives on the other hand seem to see things in a glorified past that never really existed and thus do not allow for the natural progression of a society. Both sides intentionally stifle speech that does not agree with them and yet claim the other side does it but they do not. One thing I know for sure though is that I feel comfortable speaking my mind around most conservatives but with many liberals I do not because while conservatives around me tend to disagree and argue with me constantly, the liberals will actually attack me because of my views and will refuse discourse beyond labeling me a "ist" of some kind.

 

Which ones are you referring to? And what is your proof these particular ones A) have hire armed guards and B) want our guns removed?

Asinine assertion on your part. The nation is wholly dependent on the "liberal" software giants, the California economy, the New York economy and the South Florida economy. The nation is more than just a few morons posting in blogs on the internet - 99% of the country could care less about what Alex Jones, or Rachel Maddow or Hannity think about anything. Or you.

 

Everyday I drive I see Americans everywhere breaking the law. If I drive down the highway doing the speed limit, not only do cars speed around me, but many will give me dirty looks and some will extend their arm out the window with their middle finger extended.

There is no excuse for this wanton disregard for the rule of law. There should be no tolerance, no amnesty. As everyone should know, excessive speed is number one cause of traffic deaths.

Thus we should remove every speeder from our country so the rest of us can live peacefully without the constant threat of speeding drivers killing someone we love.
