You are clearly not amenable to addressing causation.

Anyone who assigns an inherent racial degeneracy (and inevitably presumes himself to be of a "superior" race) must resign himself to perpetuating the consequences of inequality, of course.

Actually I want tax cuts for all working people period.

Your "tax cut for the rich" talking point is almost as worthless/tired as the race card... Almost.

I'm a card carrying Libertarian which means that I have the same concerns about anti-black racial prejudice and discrimination that a "liberal" would have because Libertarianism is highly social liberal in it's ideology so let me provide my "shot" at what can be done.

First and foremost I'd expand some of the provision from federal Affirmative Action to all US employers. This would not include quotas (that federal Affirmative Action doesn't have anyway) but would include a requirement for all businesses to actively recruit from black communities to fill job openings and to also have internal procedure that attempt to prevent race from being a factor in employment decisions.

Additionally I'd advocate expanding the legal foundation for civil lawsuits addressing discrimination in employment and compensation. It's next to impossible to find a "smoking gun" related to discrimination so I'd allow statistical analysis to be used in establishing discrimination by employers.

Next I'd propose a phased implementation of a federal minimum "living wage" for all of the United States. While this affects all low paying jobs as a Libertarian that advocates "maximum personal liberty and economic freedom" I understand that the person working full time and not earning a living wage is an economic slave with no economic freedom at all. Economic freedom don't just apply to the business owner but also to the individual. Additionally as a Libertarian I do support the "Liberty " of the employer but with that "Liberty" also comes "Responsibility" and any employer not providing a "living wage" to their employees is an "irresponsible" employer. Because the employer is refusing to be voluntarily "responsible" related to compensation for labor the government must intercede to mandate that responsibility.

This won't "get us there" but it's a step in the right direction. From what I've read from economists if we eliminated all prejudice and discrimination related to employment it would take 15 generations for economic parity to be reached between blacks an whites in America. That's 450 years before blacks would be economically equal to whites in America but obviously we're not even close to ending racial prejudice that results in discrimination in America. In fact anti-black racial prejudice jumped from 71% of Republicans to 79% between 2008 and 2012 as they rebelled against a black man being elected president.

How to end racial prejudice is a serious problem that perhaps can only be addressed through our formal K-12 education systems. Perhaps we could include courses that help a person identify racial prejudice in their beliefs when they're young and give them the information necessary to overcome that racial prejudice. Now that would certainly (*)(*)(*)(*) of the Republicans but they're the ones with the greatest problem when it comes to prejudice so that would probably be a good sign we're on the right track. Racial prejudice has been tied to low intelligence, and that we can deal with through education, and to social conservative ideologies, that we can also address through education. It's worth a shot anyway.

No one is claiming it's the government's fault but the fact that it isn't the government's fault doesn't prevent the government from taking effective actions that will address those that are at fault or to mitigate the effects of the anti-black racial prejudice that it may not be able to eliminate.

But you're correct. The problem is anti-black racial prejudice that we can note in the above opinion that's based upon false stereotyping of blacks so perhaps someone can tell us what would it take for someone that made the above statement to overcome their false stereotyping of blacks?

Amenable to addressing causation? Try me. You didn't address causation, either. All of your suggestions have been implemented over the last 50 years with disappointing results?

Easy. Just convince Blacks to stop acting in ways that reinforce "false" stereotyping. As far as I can see, the stereotype isn't false at all.

If Blacks weren't shooting each other at such a phenomenal rate, there wouldn't be a call to provide a safe neighborhood for them.

If Blacks weren't eating crap food, there wouldn't be a call to provide nutrition for them.

If Blacks weren't disrupting classes and goofing off, there wouldn't be a call to provide them with quality schools.

You buy into all the same stereotypes as me, but somehow you blame me for the problems of Black people. I don't get it.

the reality is, the rich will always take advantage as they can

when women started working, the middle class thrived, but soon the rich adjusted prices so that now two income was the same as one income before women started working

supply and demand, when demand is higher, costs go up too

there will ALWAYS be a large number of poor... .the rich will make sure of that as only so much supply

    - - - Updated - - -

I want tax cuts for the working class, the rich already pay was less per dollar then the working class as seen by Romney's taxes and the reason Trump will not release his

republican vs Democrats tax cuts, with republicans the rich tax cuts are supersized

That's a terrible plan. All that would do is bring about more bureaucracy and even more frivolous lawsuits.
So you got more "Overseers and investigators" sucking up taxpayer dollars, more judges, more lawyers.Just generally NOT a good solution.
The only reason racism is on the forefront these days is Obama. After he goes away it will get back to normal.
No more Weather Underground crap.No more Reverend Wright and Al Sharpton.

When you are in line at Bed Bath and Beyond and purchasing a $10 item with your 20% off coupon, and the guy in front of you is using his 20% off coupon on his $200 item, do you then conclude that the 20% off coupon is a coupon for the "big spenders" ?

Do you see them offering a 20% off coupon as being fundamentally unfair ?

Most people become poor because they either become sick and lose their job and insurance, if they ever had any, or their company exports their job. Whatever the cause the majority of poor people have children when they have work and are doing well. The only "bad decision" they made is is having children in America, where conservatives apparently think you can make the parents work when that's impossible through punishing their children. (Which is why so many upper class whites are opting not to, IMO)

You'll notice I've given as much citation for my premises as you did for your claims. I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours

Much of the institutional racism stems from the implementation of policies that negatively impact poor and poorer educated citizens in general. The fact that the melanin deficient members of our society are more dramatically impacted is because the "clannish" 86% majority is predominantly avoiding the discomfort of interacting with that which is of lesser familiarity to them. Requiring minority representation review by all minorities in any policy design and authorship would help if the fascist were required to keep their class warfare interest money out of the hands and pockets of the policy makers. No simple answers here but repealing the Clinton mandates would be a start. Repeal citizens united. Implement policy written by represent.us.com.

    I love conservatives;

"...hey, no more (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) in the White House, we can all go back to being bigoted pigs"

And that is how you want to FIGHT racism, you guys are GREAT.

    Essentially, I agree.

Some proper form of 'reparation' is definitely in order. Blacks aren't 'inferior' by any means... but we know they have INDEED been oppressed and held back for hundreds of years.

It's a damned INVESTMENT; one that SHOULD have been made 150 years ago. Because of fear, hatred and continued racism... ANY solution we apply today, would be considered 'late'.

(BTW, libertarians don't have all the answers; some of their ideas are good.)

The question is important and it should be discussed without any mentioning of party or political point of view. In essence, we have to admit that our entire society is set up to keep the black man down. We can't help ourselves. So, if we admit that then maybe we can come up with something that will make us actually live up to our common goals which is to have everyone get the same shot and treatment under the law. For starters, I strongly suggest we end the War on Drugs. Make all drug related crimes that are not violent something we treat as a medical condition or for rehabilitation. No more lifetime sentences for LSD or having an eight ball or an ounce of crack. Get the police out of the drug busting business now. Then, go back and commute the sentences at the state and federal level for anyone, black or white, in jail for using drugs. Wipe the slate clean and get these men back into society and helping bring back their lives and families. The next thing is education. We have to make sure every kid in every school has a good education, good schools and a path towards becoming more than just another ingnorant moron at 18. Maybe mandatory national service is an option, no exceptions.

The government should not do ANYTHING for blacks....it should do things for Americans. The problems within the black community MUST be corrected by the population itself, nothing and no one else can fix it.

Sorry but you are the dressing on word salad. Please enumerate the low income voters that do vote versus the ones that dont vote much" by state. Then we can quantify your colloquial insult against low income people. Also define low income, just so we can check your math.
Its not that you are wrong, its that you know so much about that which isnt so.

you seem confused, when I pay 30 cents on the dollar in taxes and they guy in front of me pays 10% in taxes, I call that a supersized tax cut, that is the republicans idea of fare, the working class pay 30% and the rich pay 10% or less where is Trumps tax return, what did he pay in taxes?

YOU seem confused, as evidenced by the chart that you posted and to which I replied. It showed how much an across the board tax cut saved the poor versus the upper income strata. Since the upper income strata pay a LOT more in taxes versus the poor, of COURSE a 5% across the board tax cut is going to result in a greater dollar amount being saved by those who pay more in taxes. Which is why the analogy to the 20% off coupon at Bed Bath and Beyond is so apropos. The more that one spends, the more they save from a coupon.

Your chart had not one thing to do with the percentage that each group pays, and instead only focused on the gross dollars. Now when called on the lunacy of referencing gross dollars, you mysteriously are trying to claim you were talking about percentages, when your chart focused on no such thing.

Now you want to focus on Trumps tax return. HEY LOOK.....A SQUIRREL !!

The operative words are good and American.
Obama is a radical Communist hippie love-child.
You're confusing black with whackadoodle Communists.
