I've heard of these islands but never thought much about them. Then, I found this piece in the Daily Mail and this particular picture caught my eye. They raise sheep and then use to wool to make famous cloths. They cut peat from the marshes to heat their homes and sell throughout the British Isles. Their homes are made of stone with straw roofs. So, what on earth is a modern Car doing there. Do they even have electricity and running water? Anyhow, an interest piece @ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
Yes as you can clearly see from the images. And just because they do things differently doesn't mean that they're without modern conveniences. I mean everyone need something to do and using hand driven looms is cheap enough to make it worth it.
