Don't beat yourself up too hard though. Understanding people who may disagree on [certain] policies without resorting to hate, smear, slander does appear to be un insurmountable task for many leftists nowadays.

Sorry, it was a bad Bush dream.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 6 — President Bush described today a vision of how democracy could unfold in the Middle East and beyond once Iraq is stabilized, challenging Iran, Syria and one crucial American ally in the region — Egypt — to end traditions of authoritarianism.

Mr. Bush directly compared what he called a new, "forward strategy of freedom in the Middle East" to Ronald Reagan's 1982 declaration in England that Soviet communism had failed, and to American efforts to spread democracy in Asia in the wake of World War II.

Freedom is not a bad dream....we were close...unfortuately Bush didn't expect the voters to be fooled into electing such a horrible leader as Obama, who completely failed to lead

That was happening long before Bush took office over there. Bush brought them an opportunity for freedom, and Obama just couldn't lead.

    hahahah

Let's see...the Iraq-Kurdish conflict that last nearly a century, Kurdish-Turkey conflict that's ongoing since the 70s, Lebanese Civil war that lasted from 75-90, Iran-Iraq War that lasted throughout the 80s, j1994 Yeman Civil War, the Israeli-Arab conflicts, Iranian Revolution, Black September....

When Obama took office, he had a free and stable Iraq (his own words), a rise in the Arab Spring that could have lead to much more freedom...but he was a horriblely bad leader and totally mishandled it...

Another patently false post of yours.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Bakr_al-Baghdadi
Al-Baghdadi was arrested by US Forces-Iraq on 2 or 4 February 2004 near Fallujah while visiting the home of his old student friend, Nessayif Numan Nessayif, also on the American wanted list at the time[5] and studied together with al-Baghdadi at the Islamic University

The "Resistance" to take down the current POTUS is distracting President Trump from doing his job.

The Democratic "Resistance" of obstructionism, sedition and witch hunts has already crossed the line bordering treason.

America's military presence in the Middle East should have been punitive and "Crush and Bolt" not nation building.

For most people in the Middle East, freedom means Sharia Law. There is no possible way of bombing the fundamentalism out of Muslims. Lets quit pretending the people of the Middle East are capable of maintaining a secular Western style democracy.

You have to break their culture and that isn't done with bombs, it is done with propaganda. If you want to know how that is done, check out how leftists are shredding and annihilating secular Democracy in the West..... capture the media, capture the schools, capture corporations, public shaming of all political adversaries, etc....

Trump has been crapping on democratic traditions in the US. His betrayal of democratic allies abroad is entirely consistent.
