Many posters want the Senate to flip and flop. By this I mean if the meanie other side does not like us, change the rules to what we want. We meaning the majority of both parties.

Democrats are pushing for the nuclear option. Before you agree or disagree, you owe it to yourself to listen to Senator Sasse explain it to us all.

I heard every word. I urge all who happen on this topic do the same. Hear every word.

Show even a mention of the filibuster in the Constitution. Go ahead, I'll wait...

That is the point. Elections have consequences, and one of the consequences of winning the majority in the Senate is the potential to change the rules. Suck it up.

So we Democrats just roll over for the Republicans when they are in power and neglect to exercise those same powers when we are the majority? Is that what you want?

I presume you believe Democrats will keep the majority?

Why not? Our parliamentarians will “cross the aisle” if the think the issue is important

Our Senate is not designed to be like a Parliament. We are not discussing voting, but Senate Rules.
