Interesting. According to you, "making your views heard" (apparently using "heard" quite literally) makes people look at you with awe and see you as courageous and committed, even though absolutely nothing results other than a lot of noise. But actually working to advance your cause PRACTICALLY where your views and desires can be put into actual effect by using the power of the political process and voting in those who will implement what you desire to be done is not awe inspiring, courageous or committed. I can see why you would feel that way, since one is just venting to make oneself and the like-minded feel better, whereas the other actually accomplishes a worthwhile goal. I'm glad I spent my time the last 8 years doing something more useful than protesting in the streets about the progressive agenda. And I can tell how well our gameplan worked by how much venting there is from that side.

 

The woman's march? Only the 53% of women who voted for Clinton, that's hardly "THE women's march" now is it.

Confidentially, you have long known that America did not want the ACA. They knew it was not affordable. They knew it would drive up premiums and co pays.

I tend to doubt though those were really the tea party people. In general, the tea party types are polite.

I know this speaker personally. I met him at the request of one of my clients. As i got to know this man, I learned a lot from him.

The truly strange thing to me is that Dems believe these tactics to be working in their favor, despite all evidence to the contrary. Republicans now control the governorship and legislature of 30 states. 30 STATES. Anyone want to explain why that is? Because from where I'm sitting, it's a bit tough trying to square that with the notion that the GOP is the party that's not addressing the issues the way people want them addressed, or that it's the GOP party whose policies are out-of-sync with what people want to see being done. The proof, as they say, is in the pudding.

Making a lot of noise and disrupting meetings leads to noisier, less productive meetings. Nothing more. Anyone who believes otherwise should probably have their head examined.

 

Oh c'mon. Even you don't really believe that. We are 4 months removed from an election and these people are protesting the policies on which that election was held. Nobody is flip flopping on their policy choice that quickly. The people that are protesting these policies are the people that voted against those policies, not the reverse.
