What's the alternative to increasing gun ownership in America?

It is kind of telling how certain gun banners rail against the belief that guns are appropriate for self-defense.... even as they pay people with guns to protect them.

Sorry but guns in the hands of professionals is not the same as guns in the hands of amateurs. Your equivalency is downright silly.

well given that private citizens usually MISS LESS than COPS, hit the wrong person LESS than cops I don't know what you are trying to say. most cops are not professional level shooters. I know, I am a professional level shooter. I almost never-even at age 58, a year after mandatory retirement for Federal Law enforcement agents-lose to cops in any sort of speed shooting contest. so your argument is incredibly ignorant or stupid. Cops are paid to enforce the law. One of the skills LEOs need though RARELY use is shooting for self defense. its like saying cops who do highway patrol are professional drivers and have an edge over say Formula One Drivers or NASCAR drivers or go-kart drivers etc. we all know that is BS

does anyone have a clue what this person is trying to argue? we have a proliferation of those who despise our constitution in society. we have those who violate the rights of others. The solution of the Anti Rights Coalition is to somehow disarm honest people so the number of criminals and fascist control freaks increase. To make this country better, we need to create more checks on criminals and control freaks. The more good people who are armed, the less likely control freaks and criminals can harm other citizens

You, personally and generally, give us no reason to believe you seek anything else.
How is it that every time a gun control law fails to prevent a crime, you demand more gun control laws?
    Specifically, where do you stop?
You are apparently unaware of the 55% drop in gun-related crime sine 1993, in spite of the fact scores of millions of new guns in circulation.
That in mind: Please specifically illustrate the "increasing problems" and how "more guns" cause them.

CJ - Are you really that dense that you don't understand the hypocrisy of politicians who want to ban guns from the public having an armed security detail? By "dirty work", TD is talking about providing security and taking the risk of being killed and/or facing prosecution for their actions. Meanwhile, the politician receives the benefit of armed protection without incurring any risk of prosecution. I understand that you want to troll him, but you seriously can't be that obtuse.

A politician chose his profession and is no more worthy of armed protection than my family. I am a citizen and not a "subject". My wife went to high school with Joe Barton's son. Does he deserve more protection than my wife? I have relatives who are judges, federal prosecutors, BATF agents, and policemen. I work just as hard and live my life just as honestly as they do. Do their families deserve more protection than mine?

No, it isn't. Frankly, the "professionals" are rarely any better trained - and usually LESS well trained - than the best amateurs; but that's not my point.

When any person states that people wanting the right to defend themselves with guns is "silly" while they themselves pay others to protect them with guns, then that person proves themselves a hypocrite; plain and simple.

Since you have no knowledge about firearms, perhaps you need to leave such topics to experts.

As firearms instructor, many students invested many hours in training as much if not more than their LE counterparts.
Many went on to become competition shooters.

I can attest personally to civilian shooters that were much better than LE shooters and had more invested too.

Those who are often regarded as being professionals, in reality, possess very poor training, which is designed around the concept of expediency of teaching to those with little to no actual experience.

so so silly to discuss guns with the brits....They are more than willing to sacrifice law abiding citizens to maintain their fallacious ideas of what their gun control laws do. Better to engage a 3 year old....they have a better grasp of reality, eh? Now Cheerio and pip pip :roflol::roflol::roflol:

One of My happiest moments ?
Meeting Marion Hammer, a force behind Floridas concealed carry movement.
    A great victory.

The B.M. movement predicted that the streets of Florida, would run red with the blood of innocent victims.

    It has not happened.

Shall issue concealed carry has been a great resounding success where ever it has passed into Law allowing it.

A guy with a yankee doodle in a armored vest with a gun in his hand, calling himself 6gunner, telling stories of his proficiency in combat, telling others they are projecting!
