    That's the problem. Even locally I've seen people post things that are most definitely false, and at first I thought people were just posting selective information, but now I realize nobody was ever told.

    Unless you went out of your way to read the report, all you're told is cops kicked the door in and started blasting.

    If the situation actually played out like the media portrays it, I'd be mad, too.

    But it didn't.

    Why are you even discussing no-knock raids here? This was not executed as a no knock raid. Why are you desperately trying to associate it with one?

    Blech. Fringe partisanship is what got us here.

    The rational people need to start talking to each other. I'm trying, but keep getting accused of being too far to the right and too far to the left. Not usually in the same thread, but at least a few times a week.

    The partisans no longer want people to have their own opinions. You are with us, 100%, or against us, 100%. My brain just doesn't work that way. Most people's brains don't work that way.

    As stated, he didn't know it was the police. At my house if the TV is on and you are outside yelling , I wouldnt be able to hear what you're saying. Especially if I'm half sleep in my recliner. So if someone kick my door in, I'm shooting. And if you're being honest, most of you gun huggers would do the same.

    As stated by the witness, the police loudly and clearly announced their presence. He shot BECAUSE he knew that it was the police . . . according to the grand jury.
