We are - we started the process of making America Great Again on Election Day, 2020. But if you think Trump's actions, and that of his rioting supporters made America great again last week, then your world is bass-ackwards.
Speaking of calls for violence, let me drop this right here and watch the left say this guy's post was peaceful, tolerant, inclusive and not racist in the least. But this guy was only suspended. And here's what happens when someone says something deemed to be hateful, they get fired, not suspended. See how privilege works?
I think that was in CA, but certainly OK with me since our 2nd Amendment is in the Constitution for political reasons, not to protect duck hunting as liberals claim. But as you point, out the incident was celebrated by liberals. During the protests in the 60-70s, lead by people like Obama's buddy Bill Ayers, the liberal mantra was buy guns, make bombs and off the pig. Ayers was a terrorist bomber whose organization bombed the US Capital in 1971 and also bombed the NYC Police Headquarter. Now he is a "respected" educator Reading the hyperbolic liberal comments in this thread, they now believe a case of criminal trespass during a demonstration is a basis for hysteria and a police state. I remember when left wingers handed out bomb making instructions in Washington DC on the corner of Wisconsin Ave and M St. Just think of the liberal outrage if conservatives did that today.
Off course if the Coach had disrespected the flag during the national anthem or something of that nature he would be a hero.
Those first guys may represent themselves as conservatives, and some people may believe they are conservatives, but conservatives don't destroy the country by creating a near 30 Trillion debt.
wait until the coming economic crash, these crazies are gonna go even crazier, especially if Trump eggs them on and throws gas on the fire, which I think trump will do the harm Trump is doing to this country will not end on Jan 20th 2021 you think 2008 was bad, think 1929 on steroids, people can't pay their rent, people don't have jobs, people are in debt, and republicans will block any help to the people, the crash is coming, I think we are past the point of no return
MAGA is a euphemism for Trump. That's it. Not Make Trump Great Again. Just Trump. It's a sickness. I think people underestimate Trump, thinking he wants to be a king. He wants to be a pharaoh. Trump will lose his towers to creditors and though he may think he's a pharaoh, he won't be remembered like Khufu; he'll be remembered like Akhenaten, the heretic king. We won't go so far as to remove all references to Trump in the public square, but he will be revealed as the cowardly weak little man he is. It's coming soon! Lol. This time, the check is actually in the mail.
How about the White House and the Supreme Court buildings? But you are saying it is OK to engage in anarchy as long it's not in DC?
It hasn't been Trump supporters engaged in the anarchy of the last 3 years, did you see Pelosi and Reid and Schumer and Biden out there showing how it should be done. The should be done Harris was showing was 'don't worry I'll raise money for your bail so you can get out of jail and back to the anarchy'. How about the Governors of Washington and Oregon and mayors of Chicago and Portland and Seattle and New York and DC did they show how it should be done?
CIVIL WAR? What a bunch dopes. As if citizen brigades could be equivalent to the standing army-- of the United States, no less (I guess they imagine themselves to be Viet Cong, and America to be a dense, tropical rainforest). I know this isn't PC, but it's like I think, when I hear a story about a young, able-bodied college student who gets run over, crossing the 2-lane road in front of the campus, on a long, clear straightaway, by a car going 35 m.p.h., that the student just didn't notice coming & so stepped right in front of (leading to overly excessive measures to try to make it impossible for this to recur): we're all better off. Hey, you want to commit suicide by U.S. Army? I don't think you should. I wish that you wouldn't. But I can't stop you.
I don't recall ever hearing, from them, the term, "CIVIL WAR." (That's scaling way WAY up, I couldn't guess how many orders of magnitude).
There was interesting material, later in the article, so here is more that wasn't in the OP, including the story of Texas mayoral hopeful, & MAGA heroine, Jenny Cudd who, after calling for public executions & revolution, was later subjected to many bogus, one-star reviews for her business-- due to the REAL Evil, CANCEL CULTURE.* I post this, BTW, not to fan any flames of antipathy, but only to help paint a clearer picture for those of us who are still a bit incredulous at some of this. *Ms. Cudd also received telephoned death threats, which I condemn equally with any other death threats, including toward those not calling for public executions, like poll workers, Secretaries of State, and, yes, Board of Canvassers members who are having 2nd thoughts about verifying vote totals. Extremists intensify calls for violence ahead of Inauguration Day By Rob Kuznia, Curt Devine, Scott Bronstein and Bob Ortega, CNN Wednesday's chaos -- which erupted during a protest to dissuade Congress from certifying the results of Biden's unambiguous win -- showed a loss of control and sudden breaking of the bond that for four years had held Trump, his supporters and the Republican leadership together in lockstep. After rioters charged through a barricade, assaulted police officers, shattered windows and stormed into the hallowed building that was torched by the invading British military in 1814, Trump made a tepid plea for them to go home -- although he repeated the falsehood that the election had been stolen. Republican leaders that night -- including Vice President Mike Pence and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell -- condemned the rioters in the strongest terms. But it all appeared to have little effect on the radicalized right. "Trump WILL be sworn in for a second term on January 20th!!," said a commenter on thedonald.win, a pro-Trump online forum, on Thursday, the day after the siege. "We must not let the communists win. Even if we have to BURN DC TO THE GROUND. Tomorrow we take back DC and take back our country!!" Security concerns ahead of Biden's inauguration John Scott-Railton, a senior researcher at the Citizen Lab -- a group at the University of Toronto that monitors cybersecurity -- said he is "terribly concerned" about the inauguration. "While the broader public was aghast at what happened (Wednesday) at the Capitol, in certain corners of the sort of right wing conversation, what happened ... is viewed as a success," he told CNN. In the days and weeks before the attack on the Capitol, signs that the protest could spiral into violence were in abundance. Advance Democracy, Inc., a nonpartisan governance watchdog, highlighted red flags on social media. In the six days leading up to the event, for instance, there were 1,480 posts from QAnon-related accounts that referenced the event and contained terms of violence. On Parler, the report said, multiple posts referenced war, including statements like "the war begins today." Ali Alexander, a political activist who has organized pro-Trump rallies, including one of the demonstrations that converged on the Capitol lawn Wednesday, accused the left of "trying to PUSH US to war." In late December, Alexander told followers on Periscope that he and three GOP congressman -- Reps. Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs of Arizona and Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama -- were planning something big... (Material removed from article) One was Texas resident and former mayoral candidate Jenny Cudd, whose campaign slogan was "Jenny for Mayor." After railing against what she described as voter fraud and a stolen election, she called for the death of those who have committed treason. "All we need is one public hanging, and then people will start acting right -- kind of like it would be useful if we still had the firing squad for the death penalty," Cudd said. "We shall see if there will be a public hanging in our future because it is still considered a valid form of death for treason." Cudd posted a video the night before the protests, where she talked about how the next day was going to be a "ruckus." "I don't know what y'all think about a REVOLUTION, but I'm ALL FOR IT," she said. "Nobody actually wants war, nobody wants bloodshed, BUT the government works for us and unfortunately it appears that they have forgotten that, quite a lot, so if a revolution is what it takes then SO BE IT." Right-wing news network OANN posted a photo of Cudd on Twitter Wednesday afternoon showing her inside the Capitol, wearing a Trump flag around her as a cape. And that evening, she posted a video from her hotel, where she drank a beer and choked back tears as she took her followers through what had happened that day. "When Pence betrayed us is when we decided to storm the Capitol," she said. On Friday, Cudd told a local TV news outlet that she did nothing illegal. "I pretty well walked up the steps and then there was an open door to the Capitol," she said. "I personally did not tear down anything, destroy anything." In response to a CNN request for comment Friday, Cudd texted a link to a video of herself repeating a version of the statement she made to the local outlet, saying, "cancel culture is in full force," and that she has "received several death threats, along with thousands of one-star reviews" for her business.
OK, so here is an idea to protect the Capitol straight from the Trumper playbook - armed citizens. The Capitol Police seem a bit shorthanded, so perhaps they should augment their numbers. Tell anyone black who owns a gun, or can just find one, to turn up to defend the Capitol. Since Trumpers are overwhelmingly white this will minimize the likelihood of confusion. Then make it clear that 'stand your ground' applies, so if you consider someone a threat in any way they are. This applies even if you put oyurself in danger. If they happen to kill any protesters they will be treated as heroes, referred to only by their first names and have all their legal bills paid. These loose groupings will be called 'Kyle Militias'. As they are following criteria for behaviour laid out by Trump supporters there should be no complaints. I imagine they will keep the Capitol VERY safe from Trumpers.
I'm not going to try and forgive anyone of the people who broke into the Capital building just as I won't forgive anyone of the people that tried to burn down the federal building in Portland. Are you in favor of charging the police that killed that woman with murder? Or is it just police that kill black men the problem? People rioted all over the US when Floyd died. Actually, in other countries too. Is that also pathetic? Is calling people racist for stuff unrelated people did 200 years ago pathetic? The fact is, we all have our "side" where we are less critical of the actions of others. To pretend that you don't is disingenuous.
is there a MAGA roll call or sign up sheet for these activities? is there a MAGA roll call or sign up sheet for these activities?
by the way, the article didn't say who said this: "we will storm the government buildings, kill cops, kill security guards, kill federal employees and agents, and demand a recount. Did CNN just make it up as a scare tactic? Usually when you quote someone, you say who made the quote. I can make stuff up too. "Leftists say that they will kill President Trump for $40,000,000" Oh, wait, that was George Lopez.
Are you saying that you would categorize ALL of them as mentally ill? To what do you attribute such an epidemic, if I can use the word? Could it be additives/chemicals/pesticides in our American diet, food chain, & environment? I just replied to a thread about the EPA giving the OK to increase the amount of the Monsanto herbicide, Round-Up, on food crops. There's evidence that it's a carcinogen, and linking it with changes in hormone levels, but this? Would be kind of an ironic name, though.
