That is absolutely correct.

Out of the 40,100 cases in 2010:

Homosexual men accounted for 28,500 cases
Heterosexual black men and women accounted for 8,000 cases
Heterosexual white and Hispanic women accounted for 2,500 cases
Black male Injected Drug Users accounted for 1,100 cases

That means that heterosexual white and Hispanic women only accounted for 6.2% of those cases.

I'd say it's not very safe for gay men and AIDS, especially gay white men.

One faked study.....so far.

I've always been suspicious of studies or polls on this subject and I would bet most of the pro gay Studies are fudged. (no pun intended) We live in a day and age where you get harrassed, and attacked for not being for this...so i dont think people answer these studies and polls with honesty.

These guys learned from the Global Warming Liberals that it's about the cause, not about the facts.

 

1) It's not a "life style". Gay people have the same diversity of lifestyles as heterosexuals do.

2) This is a false claim, for several reasons. Being gay <> participation in all or any of the high risk activities cited in this thread. Despite your clear inability to appreciate it, gay people are individuals with a diversity of lifestyles and sexual practices. We don't all have anal sex, and among those that do, it's not necessarily the primary sexual activity. As for HIV/AIDS and the other long list of diseases cited, only a small fraction of the gay population have been infected with any one of these, much less two or more of them. It's not news that researchers have found other high risk behaviors among those infected. That doesn't mean all or most of the gay population is engaging in one or more of the high risk factors cited in this thread. It's also not surprising that you see higher rates of infection where the population is more concentrated in tandem with the demographic in question having a much, much smaller pool of available sexual partners when compared to heterosexuals. In other words, if you trace the path of infection, you don't get a linear representation, but something that more closely resembles a spider's web. This tends to magnify the effect of an outbreak.

But opponents are rarely interested in anything beyond a statistic that they can divorce from its informative context, in order to use it as a club to bludgeon those they hate.

I'm personally a lot more likely to die from something like heart/circulatory system diseases or diabetes, than I am something like HIV/AIDS, drug/alcohol abuse, etc. Heck, I probably have a better chance of being gay-bashed to death than I do of catching HIV. But if you we're to believe the ranting of the rabidly anti-gay here, they'd have you think I'm already infected and purposely spreading the disease.

So don't buy into their hatemongering. They're the ones with an agenda, and it's not a pretty one.

 

Even if the likelyhood of contracting HIV (Aids is a condition and cannot be contacted) is elevated among homosexual men it's still miniscule. It can be reduced further by simply not engaging in promiscuity.

So being homosexual really has very little if anything to do with it.

 

Meanwhile back on topic, if the study relies on fabricated follow-up survey results, that's truly sickening, since from what I've read, it was relied upon to frame the approach by those campaigning for marriage equality in Ireland. In other words, gay people stand to be hurt more by this than helped.

Its why you have to actually read and look into a study and not just go with the findings...
