A bit self righteous considering we know very little what is in the best interest of the young girl. We no little about her impoverished home life. We know nothing about her married life. We know nothing about her preferences or her wishes for the future.

For every horrible scenario you can imagine in your mind an equally but wonderful scenario can be created in another's mind. We don't have to live this girls life, we don't have a right to make her life worse without her consent.

 

So are you advocating marriage for a 11yo girl? If there is good intention on behalf of the rather old groom of "caring" for her then he can be a father figure and just care for her without "ownership" and certainly without a sexual relationship. Why marry her? It's obvious to me and unacceptable. It's child rape no less.

Narrated 'Aisha: I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah's Apostle used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for 'Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.)
